After Mekhi Brown 48 punched a Ga player and was sent to the sidelines only to then go after what appeared to be som coach. Who was that?
I can only think Saban and main coaches and play callers had no idea this occurred when they allowed him back on the field.

Sure Saban didn't see that. I don't know who it was but it was inexcusable. To his credit Brown released a statement talking about how embarrassing his behavior was and other things. If I can find it I will post it. He still needs severe punishment but I don't want to see someone kicked off the team for a mistake.

Him showing his arse on the field being out of control can be excused as a "mistake". But being on the sideline and physically attacking a coach sure as hell isn't a "mistake" - it's a "trait".

Agreed. I’m not gonna pretend that all teams and coaches don’t do it but it seems Saban has somewhat made a habit out of excusing certain behavior in order to win championships.
I don’t know if it was “thug” behavior being displayed by several players last night or if it’s more like a spoiled child lashing out because things weren’t going their way

Brown needs to be gone. Plenty of other players who can use his scholarship. I was disappointed to see him on special teams at the end of the game.
That said, I wonder if the chain-gang guy standing in front of the coach said something to him and he was actually going after him?

Oh how you have forgotten your team vote!! I get L7U is upset.. and the fact you just hired a TE coach as a OC doesn’t help.. but don’t throw stones in a glass house.

Da fuq, what does the team vote have to do with a player swinging at a coach or player on the field? if you cant see a difference there is no help for you

Saban was asked about it right after the game and didn't have any idea what the reporter was talking about.

Lol no. Same exact thing happened to Ronnie Harrison 2 years ago and now he is one of the best players on the team. Coach ain't getting rid of a fast, violent baller with a mean streak like brown. He will get some extra coaching and be ready to roll next year.

To a person who can only see purple and gold, nothing is crimson

He didnt even know about it at his press conference this morning

quote:Shockingly enough there were other pressing matters on Saban's plate at the time the kid was having a sideline tantrum. His actions were inexcusable and punishment should be forthcoming. But to say he should be kicked off the team is a bit much.

Brown should have been kicked out of the game for being a TPOS.

If that was the case, that's worse than going after a coach in my opinion, although the chain-gang guy should keep his mouth shut.

You been holding on to that all morning waiting to say it to an LSU fan. Maybe that’s why you completely ignored the fact that I said I know other coaches and programs make excuses for certain players.
But for a coach that expects perfection, it seems he ignores character flaws in players
