Who reaches relevance quicker: UTexas or aTm?

While no fan of the man-kisser, I really sense the Horns establishing themselves as the premier program in Texas once again.
I will admit LSU's recruiting is getting tougher because of UT as well.

Texas will likely be relative sooner, but only due to the weaker conference they play in. A&M being in the West of the best conference makes things so much tougher. I guess what I am trying to say is the Longhorns path to relevancy is much, much easier.

Has to be UT, A&M has a gauntlet to run every year if they want to end up in the national spotlight. UT just has to beat OU and maybe one other "decent" B12 team to put themselves in playoff position.

Looks like Jimbo is out recruiting Herman at this point.
Either way A&M will always be little brother. They won't ever overcome that 40 game discrepancy in the all time series or the amount of championships Texas has.

Championships is doable. The lead Texas built from ww2 to Vietnam is insurmountable.

Doesn't LSU play tu the next couple seasons? A&M will destroy LSU this year, and each year LSU plays tu. If LSU takes care of business, the transitive property works in our favor. If Orgeron goes full Orgeron, then it's still a push because tu won't beat LSU as badly as A&M does.
