Seriously? I thought you guys were trying to start a LSU A&M rivalry? Oh, wait...

For this century, Florida and Bama have been the two closest in terms of wins and losses and then Auburn. LSU has had 4 overtime games with Bama since 2000 and the overall average point differential has been like 4 points or something like that. And games against Auburn and Florida have been even closer than that overall.

The championship years of 1942 and 1980 shows Georgia is a real powerhouse.
Not really. Playing in the playoffs and for a national Championship in 2017 does, though. Just barely missing the playoffs in 2018 helps, too. How has Auburn done the past 4 or 5 years? Yet, you consider yourself a powerhouse?

Georgia has been undefeated twice since 1946. Auburn has 4 since 1957. JS.
Congrats on those moral victories. How many Championships did those net you and why so few? 1980 is ancient history and doesn't count but 1957 does?

Yet Auburn is the consensus 1957 National Champion.
Because you were a professional football team. Imagine. then in your second championship you were under investigation for paying your best player. I sense a pattern developing here.
I actually have no problem with you or Auburn, jangalang. I was merely responding to Rabern who has a history of trolling Georgia. And, honestly...after I sent my shot at him I almost immediately regretted it because I realized he was responding to a troll by a Georgia poster.

Winning a NC is alot different than just playing for one.
Seems like Auburn would be playing for them more often, then, if it was so easy. Sure, it's better to win, but only two teams play for one a year. Not too bad.
quote:And Auburn has just one true victory since 1957....same as Georgia.
You just have a moral victory since 1980.

No it implies we play a west schedule and end it with our 2 top rivals in 3 weeks.
You do realize that we play our top 2 rivals in 3 weeks, too, right? no you didn't. And did you realize that the east beat the west last year head to head? So much for that "We play a west schedule!" crutch you are so fond of using.

Just an empty room for aggy. No one considers them a rival.

The only correct answer is Clemson. **** the tigers.

You guys lose to UF anytime they are any good, so I think that proves the point

Right now, UF and LSU are rivals. Maybe not historically, but right now, yes they are.
Just look at the games since 2001.
2001 - UF 44 LSU 15: Spurrier whips Saban's first LSU SEC title team in BR)
2002 - LSU 36 UF 7: Saban gets revenge and destroy's Zook's first UF team, which arguably had more talent than Spurrier's 2001 team
2003 - UF 19 LSU 7: UF with a freshman Chris Leak hands LSU's title team its only loss
2004 - LSU 24 UF 21: LSU upsets UF in Gainesville with a last minute drive
2005 - LSU 21 UF 17: LSU holds on to beat Meyer's first UF team
2006 - UF 23 LSU 10: Tebow jump pass
2007 - LSU 28 UF 24: 4th and Les
2008 - UF 51 LSU 21: Tebow and Harvin go apeshit and Spikes kicks a football
2009 - UF 13 LSU 3: One of the most hard hitting games that year.
2010 - LSU 32 UF 29: Fake FG forwards pass
2011 - LSU 41 UF 11: Overmatched UF gets destroyed after losing Brantley
2012 - UF 14 LSU 6: Another hard hitting grudge match
2013 - LSU 17 UF 6: Yet another hard hitting game. UF played tough, but never really had a chance.
2014 - LSU 30 UF 27: LSU upsets UF in Gainesville after Driskel throws a pick with under a minute remaining
2015 - LSU 35 UF 28: Another LSU fake FG
2016 - UF 16 LSU 10: Hurricane Game and Goal Line Stand
2017 - LSU 17 UF 16: LSU gets revenge
2018 - UF 27 LSU 19: Burrow picked off in the last 2 minutes

Florida for me. For many years that winner of the game went on to win it all. Lot of excellent match ups.

I enjoy the Auburn rivalry — it really hit its peak when Alabama had their coaching issues and the winner of our game usually came out on top of the west.

Great post. I think you fat-thumbed the 2015 score - your commentary is spot on with the implication of an LSU win, you just inadvertently gave LSU 25 points instead of the actual 35 they scored.
