Who is the most overpaid coach in the country?

Jimbo Fischer at 9 million a year
Ed orgeron at 8.9 million a year
Dan Mullen at 7.6 million a year
I think coach wise it’s easily Ed o. The national championship makes it a little better.
Probably most overrated has to be jimbo
Dan mullens ability to do less with more is also very incredible as well.
Thoughts?

JimBob. I would add Ogre, but part of his salary is the reward for 2019.

For perspective, Sam Pittman makes $3M/year.

Orgeron makes around $7 million per year on average.
His extension after the title was for 6 years, around $42 million.

If you count what Auburn is paying him along with his UCF salary, I'd say it's Gus Malzahn.

At least Ed put a trophy in the case. But it's not looking like he's going to put another one in, anytime soon.
It's a tie between Jimbo and Dan. I have to go with Jimbo because he's getting 1.4m more than Dan.

Jimbo by a mile.
At least O brought a title to LSU.
Jimbo has not earned jack of his salary.

The coach who has the fan base more interested in birds during prime time

Generally, the buyouts subtract out whatever money the coach is making elsewhere. If Gus decided he simply didn't want to work anymore, then I could see him being on this list with an asterisk.

Yikes, I didn't realize they was paying Jimbo that much. How many years has he been at A&M, I seriously don't know, but he has recruited well, just not sure what's keeping him from getting to that top level. I think Aggie fans will give him this year, but if continues to go off the rails next year, watch out.

I remember everyone laughing at Alabama for paying Saban 4 MILLION a year......
Do you know why Alabama paid Saban 4 million a year ?
Because they could...

100% accurate. Schools like Ole Miss would be happy to overpay a coach for 10 years just to get one natty. Jimbo is the clear answer.

This
Orgeron is a clown but has a shorter contract and lower average salary.

I say Mullen. Jimbo and Ed both nave nattys on their resume. Jimbo should've gotten the playoffs last year. Ed and Jimbo also both recruit at a top 5 level.
Mullen is a joke. He's at Florida, in one of the most talent-rich states in the country, and still can't recruit high profile players. He seemingly always chooses the wrong QB. Even last year he managed to lose 4 games with all of that talent. He's going nowhere fast

Not his contract, thanks to Steven Leath and Jay Jacobs!
I don't think there's anything offsetting.
