Also just got an extension. He isn't getting fired this year.
How would you know he wouldn't get fired?

Lebby is a possibility if his 1-15 SEC record keeps up this season.

Remind me again. Isn’t Lane famous for his sobriety? Didn’t espn make a documentary of how sober Lane is now?
Would be a shame if it weren’t true ;)

Are you saying Ole Miss lied for him?
Mississippi will hire a lawyer or two. But I think Ole Miss will beat LSU.

I think Sark is in play. He could win a national championship or finally get himself canned. He's got himself a real schedule to deal with this time around. The loss to Florida last year was inexplicable.
Sarkisian is going to have Texas back in the playoffs this coming season.

I don't know about the others but if State gives the next coach the same money support (NIL and extras) the same as with Lebby, about as well keep Lebby.
Might as well keep him because he will have MSU beating Missouri and that will be it folks for Drinkwitz.

What's the "Brian Kelly" line for Deboer at Bama? Losses to LSU and Auburn, and 1-2 more?

I know they insist his seat isn't hot, but I just don't believe it. The admin might support him, but the boosters have to be getting squirrelly.
Ice cold for DeBoer!

I think the gumps will sharpen their pitchforks over a loss to UTK more than a loss to LSU.
Auburn isn't beating Alabama this year. New coach and the game @ Alabama.
9-3 is the absolute floor for Alabama. That UGA, UTK, A&M, LSU stretch is going to be rough, but no way they drop all of those.
I am only seeing 1 losses and will go 11-1 or 10-2.

Mizzou would have to be crazy to fire Drink. Who that would be a proven upgrade would go there?

Are you saying Missouri should accept to be average to below average in football? Have you not seen the slow declined?

Anyone who could beat a ranked opponent. He shits the bed against every ranked team they play.

My bet is either Beamer or Lebby, and their schedules are insanely hard. My dark horse is Heupel.
Ooooh solid dark horse pick

Because Mizzou isn't paying $40M to fire him.

If Heupel shits the bed this year with like a 7-5, I think he's gone.
That's my pick. Don't even think it's a dark horse. Tennessee fans I am friends with in this state are fed the frick up with him.
He's 24-16 in the SEC and went 4-4 last year and finished unranked. He's also missed big on some transfers that flamed out. They want more than that.

Yeah, that's why I asked about the "Brian Kelly" line.
Remember, Kelly took over a program that had dropped to .500, and went:
10-4 with a berth in the conference championship
10-3 with a Heisman winner
9-4 with a 4000 yd passer
Last year, Kelly had LSU preseason top 10, and won the opener on the road at a top 5 team.
Not someone you'd expect to be fired halfway through the season.
Deboer has a similar record, a little better, at a place with higher expectations. Deboer is also "not one of us", which so far hasn't surfaced but might. And as you said, you expect 1-2 losses... he's hit 4 both years so far. Not sure that's going to keep being tolerated.

Beamer is the most imminent, Lebby could happen before year's end but I suspect he'll get the full year since the goal is 6. Not sure anyone else is on the hot seat unless an unexpectedly bad season happens somewhere.

Looks like there are only a few possible candidates unless someone has a really bad year. The new coaches are all safe, and the only ones who are unsafe at this point are Beamer and Lebby. Some fans have a very low tolerance for losing, so one bad year could warm their seats quickly.

Yes, but they've had a pretty bad run with coaches prior to Heupel. At least he took them to the CFP. I'm thinking that some UT fans may be leary of having to do another coaching search.

UTk thinks they are an elite program and top tier coaching destination. They will continue to fire and hire because of this.
In my humble opinion.
I'm surrounded by their fans in East Tennessee and they are some of the most delusional fans I've been around.
