The Athketic was all over Weigman as a first round pick this coming draft.

Ehhh maybe. We'll see where Michigan is at the end of the year.
Defense was the true strength of their championship team, and they only had to replace 2 starters this year iirc. Their defense will prove to be legit, but their offense may not do them any favors.

When you’re surrounded by an O-line and receiver corps of entirely 5 stars, that makes it a hell of a lot easier to do your job.

UGA has 1 5 star OL on the roster, he doesn’t start. UGA doesn’t have a single WR on the roster who is a 5 star.

Even though I’m beginning to think he was carried a bit last year with his weapons, you have to go with Beck until proven otherwise.

Without being overly biased, I'm about as confident with Beck as I would be with any college QB this year. As you say, his mates will play a large role in how he's judged at the end of the year, but the list of quarterbacks who don't fall into that category is vanishingly small. And, if you go back in time, none of Beck's weapons who departed after last year was a considered a superstar when they arrived at Georgia.

You have to understand the game that some people still play. "Kirby Smart isn't really a great coach, he just has great talent". Some will carry it even further to, "Kirby Smart only has great talent because the NCAA turned a blind eye to his cheating". That's when you know you're talking to a bona fide "little brother".

I would take Dart over Beck.

Texas AM has a very talented QB. I cannot remember his name. He has impressed me last year and will play on Sundays. He dismantled my LSU tigers last year. Maybe his poor play this year is because of coaching changes. He is in top 5

Seems Dart & Nussmeier only 2 on all three lists. And both are top three on all three lists.

Nothing against either of them, and they are good QB's, but Dart has played against Furman and Middle Tennessee.
Nussmeir has gone against USC and Nicholls. USC is not known for their pass defense. We''ll know more as the season progresses, and they may both still be at the top. just saying it is premature to base this on two games considering who they have played against.

Very few QBs ever have success without a good team around them or a gimmicky offense.

You're saying that ewers lacks arm strength? I think that's crazy . Scouting says he has a big arm and I remember a deep pass against Bama last year that was something that many qbs aren't capable of based on arm strength

There are clearly teams elevated a lot by their QB. Auburn without Newton is probably an 8-4 type team.
