Freeze is probably the second best in recent history. (If we’re just referring to head coaches)

I think when you add the HUNH to it, it cheapens the play calling. Many times the defense just isn't set up, and if they are, they aren't sure of their assignments. You don't have to call a good play when the defense isn't ready because damn near anything will work.

He makes the decision on when to pump the gas and breaks though, and it’s not like he’s the only one that can do hurry up.

What Kiffin did with Sims, Coker, and Hurts was amazing. Bama 100% does not beat Clemson in 2015 without him

Can it really be Mullen when his offenses have always struggled versus big time defenses?

All I know is that we put up a shite ton of points when he was our OC with less talent than we have now and a bad OL.

Gus?

Bro you do not watch football.

If he has to have the perfect players to call a game...he isnt an elite play caller.

think Mullen currently carries that mantle

Smart is a better defensive playcaller than Mullen is on offense.

Leach and Bobo sound like good options for offense. Mullen is a great QB coach.

I’d say Malzahn overall. When he has the right pieces he can punch way above his weight.
You're an elite play caller when you don't have the right pieces and you can innovate and evolve your offense to fit the players you have on hand.

Mullen was always great at the first series drive at State and was pretty good overall.

And, Mullet will call at least one fake punt that will fail miserably every game!

Kiffin is great but spends too damn much time setting up the big play sometimes. That shite killed drives in big games.

If Mullen can convince John Rhys Plumlee to transfer to Florida to play QB next year that will be scary to watch.

Freeze was the best opening drive / first half play caller i've ever seen but he didnt make adjustments well.

His first half drives against Florida State and Bama in 2016 were insane. We were up by like 3 scores against Bama in 2016 and that wouldve been his 3rd win in a row.
