it's just the fact that Arkansas has not improved their play against Alabama over the last 4 years

Right... mainly due to our shortcomings at defense. Which is we just got a new DC

You are right, I did misinterpret your post because I didn't bother to read the entire OP's post, just the title. So it seemed to me at that moment you were trying to just be an arse and troll, it was my mistake. Just don't try to throw it in my face like some internet badass because we all know you are not.

Well "traditonally traditionally" we'd probably have to go to UT, wouldn't we?

That's more like it. Tradition has it's standards when SEC football is discussed IMHO, and Arkansas still cannot be discussed in traditional talk in the SEC yet.

If LSU played Tennessee this year, then I would agree with this.

I wouldn't count on any of this things happening for you. You should start planning on the Capital One bowl or a lesser bowl.

No one's saying everything will be like it was, but this team will definitely end up being better than the 2011 team

Sure

Alabama will spank dat arse

We'll see

If you seriously think that an offensively based team, after losing not only your ofensive genius head coach, but also your offensive coordinator, and replacing the head coach with John L(oser) Smith, isnt going to take a step back, then you are even more delusional than some of these barners that actually think they are part of the SEC elite.

Your flagship sunk in the offseason and your lifeboat is about to get shredded. You will be just another X in the W column when we torch your defense and Dee Milliner and company get full sponsorship offers from fly swatter manufacturers all over the country.

Last I looked, Auburn pretty much owns BDS. I would NEVER get too cocky about the iron bowl. You must not have watched many of these games over the years.

I forget the exact number, but something like 80-somethihng percent of iron bowls are won by the team with the better record. People talk like its an "ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!!!!" kind of game, but it usually goes the way its supposed to. Of course there are years where it doesnt, but if I remember correctly, App St beat Michigan a few years back, We went down to ULM and the yellow school buss in 07', and Auburn even squeeked in a national championship in 2010. So yeah, I guess ANYTHING is possible. But I wouldnt count on it.

You have nothing to fear, and the streak will go to 6 in a row.

This isn't a shot at Dooley or the Tennessee roster in any way, either. We're just not going to beat Alabama this year.

Ark bothers me the least even though they are the mOst talented left on our schedule only because they have been in the sec and they are starting what will be the most difficult stretch on our schedule. Missouri and aTm bother me the most because if the players tale them lightly I feel like Missouri especially has the offensive talent to beat us. Ark has the players but no way we look past them.

After beating Auburn this weekend, State will continue its grind domination of the state and upset Alabama.

Yeah, because obviously the rest of our staff is full of dumbasses that can't call plays

For the thousandth fricking time, he won't call one damn play. He's there to provide stability for the program. You're a fricking idiot if you think we hired him for his coaching abilities

isnt going to take a step back

You don't know fricking shite about Arkansas and it's painfully obvious

Break down of each position

QB: Will be even better given Wilson will have one more year of experience under his belt

RB: Knile Davis is returning and with him, DJ, and Wingo we'll have one of the deadliest running corps in the SEC

OL: Like with Wilson, they can only get better with more experience

WR: A bit of a drop off may occur, but really there shouldn't be too much. With Cobi and Brandon, we have some nice upperclassmen leadership to help the younger guys learn the position. Not to mention our receiving corps is a good bit bigger than they were last year, so it should help us against physical defensive backs

And as for the defense, they can only get better with Haynes. Although the showing last Saturday wasn't great by any means, the offense put them in a lot of bad positions with turnovers. In the second half when the offense took better care of the ball, we held them to 3 points

I'll go ahead and give a little breakdown though

Defensive line: This is easily the deepest DL we've had with Petrino's players. Before we wouldn't be able to rotate guys enough to keep them fresh and it was obvious in our bigger games. Now though we'll be able to switch out with guys quite frequently to keep everyone fresh.

Linebacker: A bit thin, we increased the overall size by moving Tank from DE and with the addition of Otha. The increase in size should help us stop the run easier. Tank showed a bit of a liability in coverage, but we'll see if he can improve that by Bama. For Alonzo, he was one of our best last year and will only improve

Cornerback: Tevin Mitchell will make a huge impact for us, even more than last year. He was an all-SEC freshman last year and with more experience and better coaching I can't wait to see what his potential is. As for Darius, he's an amazing athlete but hasn't shown the capacity to perform well in games. He hated Willy though, so hopefully Haynes will be able to set him straight.

Safety: Our weakest part in the defense, we're just suffering from a lack of playmakers. Most of them are solid, but none really stand out. Depth is an issue, but Haynes knows what he's doing. It can't get any worse than it has been

tl;dr version: You're a fricking idiot who doesn't know shite about what he's talking about
