re: LSU fans, are you not depressed?
Posted by mudbug00 on 11/5/12 at 5:09 am
Actually, Les tried a lot of things this time that we have been begging for all year. Unfortunately, none of them worked this time, as they usually have in the past.
If they had worked, Les would have been the hero to every LSU fan and an unpredictable idiot to every other team's fans.
No, I am not depressed. I saw a great game...in person, I might add, as I always do. I was part of the biggest Tiger Stadium crowd in LSU history, and was on the edge of my seat every minute of the second half.
Disappointed? Sure.
Depressed? About the Tigers? These are LSU tigers we are talking about, not Aubarn Tigers. I'm proud of their spirit and performance even in the loss.
Let me turn the question around and back to you, and you can answer it after the Iron Bowl.
We played and lost to the No.1 team in the nation, with :51 seconds left. We beat the TIDE in every single category except Score and number of penalties. Our two losses were to two of the top five teams in the country by a total of 12 points, and we've beaten two others in the top 15.
As an Aubarn fan, You know much more about depression than any Tiger Fan has in years.

re: Who is the 2nd biggest threat to beat Alabama?

Arkansas!
And Alabama is Arkansas's second biggest threat too!

Maybe they should not bring him along. It it gets near Mike VI, it's going to pee all over itself!
re: Dan Borné...What's up with the commentary?

And why don't the Lemonade stands carry banana flavored as well? We need to get a movement started on this, as well as what says over the PA.
I can't hear him for the most part anyway. I busy listening to the LSU broadcast on the Tiger Radios. They accomplish a whole lot more idiocy than implied by Dan. Why don't you ask about that?

re: If you had to give a grade on Zach M. performance...
Posted by mudbug00 on 9/2/12 at 9:10 pm
Zack did a good job. Being the first game of the season, and the first start for Zach, I give him top marks.
But grading under these circumstances is not really necessary. It was a warm-up game and things looked pretty good for the most part.

What do you think Miles did to Okie State? I love Miles, but let's be fair.
Les did not, even once, promise OK State that he was not interested in LSU. Do you remember Little Nickie promising that he had no intention of leaving LSU on the morning that he boarded the plane for Miami?

I don't hate Bama or Arkansas. But I do not like Saban or Petrino. They're the ones I look most forward to being beaten.

Should we start a list to help him remember?
-Saban does not mind abandoning his team for more money. Miles has turned down numerous chances! When miles says he loves his team, his team and the fans believe him. When Saban says he loves Bama, we know it's because that's the team that pays the most for his service. He would love Arkansas State if their pot was bigger.

No, I am not upset. You just cannot have the all. We got Keil this year. You just cannot have two five star QB's each year.
It does rile me a little that he chose Bama, though. Not so much Bama, as little Nicky. He still turns my stomach.

BCS bowls don't mean a thing, other than the NC Game.
Until the creation of the BCS, the Cotton Bowl was far older and far more prestegious than the Fiesta Bowl AND Orange Bowl. The only reason that the Cotton Bowl was not selected as one of the original BCS games was because of the old Cottton Bowl Stadium in downtown Dallas. It had seating capacity of about 35,000. Now that it's played in Jerryville, it will get the better teams year after year.
I guarantee that more National Championships followed the winners of the Cotton Bowl than the Fiesta Bowl.
If you're criticising the New Orleans Bowl, The Military Bowl, The Liberty Bowl, or even the Gator Bowl (which is another old prestegious one), then you might have a point.
But rating a win at the Cotton Bowl that features a two 10-2 Big 12 Team against a 10-2 SEC team with a Fiesta Bowl loss against a 10-3 Big East Clemson and a 9-3 ACC West Virginia is a show of real genius.

Gotta love that. I guess in Alabama spending 1 drive inside the 20 is equal to five or six drives. Where does the red-zone start in Alabama?
Well, the sidelines sometimes move around in Alabama. I guess that it's no surprise that the Red Zone changes from time to time.

Man, they are really hung up on that "restoring order" mantra, eh?
I hope we humiliate them.
Restoring Order? I can see a similiarity to USC's 'Threepete". Order was restored in November.
7 losses of 9 to LSU appears...to me...to be the ORDER of things. Wouldn't you think?

Not saying either of your posts are shitty or this thread, I'm just tired of the thread and the non stop "NO IM BETTER, NO I AM!
Isn't that the reason for forums? That is to rag and harass the bad guys? Personally, I am going to miss it. LOL!

How many kids go off to college to a far away location just to get away from home and out from under mom and dad's constant watchful eyes?
There are just too many things pulling on him to keep him in the BR area.

Nah, Sweet...I believe he's gone. I didn't know about having to wait a year. With five star Kief coming in too, I think Collins is going where he will definitely be top dog and be able to start earlier..no matter what mom wants.

Nick Saban's career coaching record is 145-54-1.
Besides his 6-6 Bowl record, remember that one of those loses was at LSU to Alabama Birmingham, and the bowl loss to UTAH! of all teams!
Les has never lost any games to those caliber teams.

Sooner or later, the rest of the world is finally going to realize that Little Nicky is not as good as Les. Then they'll start putting their money someplace safer.
