I see the A&M thing developing into something over the next 10-20 years though.

Sure, that will probably happen. I think A&M and LSU are already a rivaly, really. Don't the two teams have a bit of history going back a good ways?

LSU will beg Texas to be their rival just to piss off the Aggies.
But for traditional sake it's been Ole Miss

Actually Tulane was the biggest rivalry back in the day. Ole Miss was second.

No one really, or that we would claim. The closest we have historically is Tulane, and the closest in the SEC is Ole Miss. wouldn’t really consider either a rival at this moment, though. I’m pretty happy just having temporary rivals in whatever year that team can derail our season. Auburn, Florida, Alabama, etc.

For Alabama the answer is easily Auburn and Tennessee, no rivalries outside of that except for Auburn with a lake.

Wait! Missouri beat them last year! Missouri also hold a 2-1 record against LSU! :)

Alabama.

Even the people who have other "rivals" (ie: Mississippi schools) would rather beat the king than anyone else. Georgia, Tennessee, LSU....we are their green light at the end of the pier.

You kids don’t know shite about history.

Tulane was once a member of the SEC and LSUs first rivalry. We used to still play them in the 70s. But then they really starting sucking. My grandfather used a have a solid gold doubloon like coin that was modeled after the 20 dollar gold piece that celebrated 25 years of victory’s over Tulane.

Then it was Ole Miss in the 50s, and 60s. There were a lot if number 1 vs 2 matchups, the billy cannon run etc . But Ole Miss built its entire program on white Protestant kids, or WASP because Vaught was a horrible racist, and after Archie Manning was gone they really struggled, and the heat went out of the rivalry.

For you bama baddies that don’t know shite, LSU was Bama’s left arm in the Bear Bryant years, and Bear Bryant and Charlie Mac were very very good friends. Bear would routinely come over to Macs house the Friday before the game and they would drink and play cards all night. I will let someone else tell the story of the Bears Missing Pants.

However, many alumni and big donors got tired of being the wing man for bama and felt Mac was losing too much to Bear, and the big money turned against him and he was fired or retired and they hired the hot shot yankee coach that was not part of the good ole boys club, Nick Saban. (Jk) Bo Rein, basically believed to be the next great thing. He was in Baton Rouge a few weeks and go on a plane for recruiting trip and it depressurized, knocked everyone out and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. REC?? Who knows. Then, just like bama post Bear, we went through a circus act of coaches and clowns, some with success most without until we hired Saban. Then obviously the LSU -Bama whatever you want to call it started

According to various well-informed Tiger fans, Tulane was never an LSU rival and has never meant anything to any LSU fan.

I'm afraid you are wrong on this one, TutHill.

For most of the time Saban has been at Bama, LSU has been our toughest game every year, should be our rival game.

LSU always enjoyed visiting NO and having the comforts of electricity, water, heat, indoor toilets and sEch for a day or so.

Is that why bama likes playing away games now? Since y'all still dont have indoor plumbing?
