Can you state definitively that Tulane vs. LSU was not a rivalry and was never considered that by anyone in Louisiana?

Sure it was back in the 20s and 30s. Since 1940 it hasn't even been competitive.

Georgia and Georgia Tech is much more of a “rivalry” than LSU and Tulane.

Do you claim Georgia Tech is UGA’s biggest rival?

All of the LSU fans that I know don't give two shits about A&M.

I’m relatively new to this board, but the one thing I noticed immediately was the obsession that LSU fans have with A&M. Way more than any of the other schools.

It's a troll board. People post whatever they think will get responses. That's why it seems like Bama thinks of LSU as a rivalry. But, in reality they don't.

It's a hot, popular game at this time and it's been fun. Rivalry, of course not. It's a hate-fest more than anything and that is just one out of four parts of a rivalry. LSU is missing the other three, at this time.

I despise the university of Florida. I was at LSU from 05-09 for undergrad and 09-11 for grad school.

frick Florida. Bunch of jort wearing meth heads with their shitty Tom petty songs.

LSU really should play Tulane annually still. If you’re going to schedule teams like Troy and Southern Miss, you may as well schedule in-state G5 teams that would drive people to those games and uphold a traditional rivalry.

LSU/Bama needs more football games like 2011, 2012 and 2019 consistently plus more basketball games like the SECT final. Some bad blood in baseball would help too.

The 7 OT game is a good start with A&M with the fight thrown in at the end.

LSU has had that dozens of times pretty much in all 3 sports with Florida over the years. Throw the hurricane thing and that really puts it over the top for us even if they have other rivalries with FSU, Tennessee and UGA.

I see the A&M thing developing into something over the next 10-20 years though.

In terms of traditional rivalry, it’s Ole Miss.

However, most fans alive today (including myself) don’t remember the fervency of that rivalry.

It’s been fading between OM & LSU the past 20 years but game day it’s still fervent for Rebels fans. Many still like to consider LSU bigger than State.
