Clemson has some good senior d'lineman that could have gone pro. If you don't get to the playoff or lose some early, look for those guys to coast.

Sounds like MSU has a good line, may be best?
Auburn may have the best 4 in the league.
no surprise IF BAMA has the best.

Miss State gave up 200 yards rushing 3 times last year, as well as 187 to Louisville and 152 to LA Tech. MSU reduced the numbers thanks to BYU and Charleston-Southern. They only held 3 teams below 100 yards on the ground.

By contrast Alabama held 9 teams below 100 yards and never gave up 200.

UGA had 6 sub-100 games.

Not sure how MSU is in the argument here.

Alabama is going to shove it down Miss State’s through in November. More than the 202 yards rushing Alabama had last year.

I actually agree with you, but I never understand why anyone thinks what happened last year has any bearing on what will happen this year.

In the SEC for 2018? Make your case here.

MSU:
Gave up 306 yards per game last year, 3.8 yards per carry for the season.

Return top 10 Defensive Linemen, based on bowl game depth chart. This includes 2 All-SEC performers, both of which are named to at least 1 pre-season All American list. Does not include Chauncey Rivers, who redshirted last year and who coaches are whispering may be better than Sweat.

Return 4 of 5 top Linebackers. Would be 5 of 6, but Gerri Green is moving to DE this year.

We forced 22 fumbles last year.

We had 36 sacks, 32.5 of which came from front 7. 29 of those sacks from returning front 7 players.

We had 86 TFL, 79.5 of which came from the front 7. 71.5 of those by returning players.

Last year was Sweat's first year playing in the SEC and he had 15.5 TFL, and 10.5 sacks. With a year under his belt now, he will only be better. Simmons requires a double-team. Sweat and/or Rivers will get a ton of one on one matchups to exploit.

This is bullshite. I know this because MSU fans assure me that Mullen can't recruit.

Last year rarely has anything to do with it. But I just think Alabama has the best OL in the SEC for 2018.

I always assume it will be Alabama. 90% of the time, it works every time.

Georgia is very good (not great) for our 3 starters on the DL. But we have a lot of question marks on depth for the DL. That may be the only position of concern for me.

I don't worry about linebacker. We look great at OLB. And I love the talent/depth at ILB.

Regardless of the ranking, UGA has studs and leadership at all 3 levels of the defense.
