Yeah, but he sure beat LSU's arse.

But I don’t see Pete winning a Natty. I do see OM building him a statue though.

Imagine being a LSU fan, with the success y'all have had over the last 20 or so years, and still being a melty little biotch over one close loss to a better team.

Les Miles from the players Saban had recruited and developed, or Pete Golding with the players Lane had brought in and developed?

Not really the same thing. NIL and the portal obliterates the ability to compare Les vs. Pete.

You need to do better research and stop cluttering the board with fake news. OM roster turnover. 28 LSU roster turnover. 38

That’s irrelevant to the question you asked about Golding and Miles

If Lane is the only one good at developing players why did all of them stay in Oxford to be developed by Golding?

I don't know about Lane being an elite developer of players or whatever, but who exactly did you think would leave?

Let's take Trinidad and Kewan out because Ole Miss was never letting them leave. Who else?

You actually consider the OP question to be “melty”?

Strange.

Buy hey man, you guys will get back on track soon.

revisionist history

Y’all were going to raid the entire roster stop moving the goalposts.

I wouldn’t trade a single person on our DL for anyone in LSUs rotation. Same with the LBs. 2 for y’all was elite, but all other DBs were not better than anyone Ole Miss has. Offensive Line Ole Miss had the clear edge too. Lane didn’t want any of these guys???

With a checkbook?

Actually, Kiffin out bid us for Lacy and several other players who stayed here. Y’all grossly outbid us for Dudley Dotley and PWill, and to some extent for Harper. Winnie loved Kiffin and would have followed him to LSU regardless of the money.

Golding is actually pretty disciplined when it comes to player payroll. We did splurge on a couple of players we really needed.

I don't think any defensive guys were going to LSU unless LSU just paid more for them, why would they? Their position coaches and coordinator were still there.

Your offensive line coach stayed too, why would they leave?

If he doesn’t think Lane was recruiting as well as Saban, then he doesn’t even need to ask the question. It’s obvious Saban would have left Miles a better roster. It’s just a troll thread anyway
