Just wait for some Bama fans to make jokes about it come November. They make Katrina jokes every single year.
I never really hear any of the fanbases here make Katrina jokes. We all have had experiences with natural disasters and if anything its times like these that show that most posters here are good people.

I’m watching the weather channel and they said possible storm surges as high as 20 fking feet. They also expect water surges to reach inland as far as interstate 10. That is damn scary.

They said that anyone close to this thing will NOT survive so if anyone lives close pleaae get the hell out. It ain’t worth trying to ride it out. It is a very strong category 4 and expected to be a category 5 by landfall.

My son lives in Houma. Its a beautiful town. I love going there. He say's they re all ok. Thank goodness !

Houma should be pretty safe. Maybe some rain.

I don't think those bands are going to reach much past west baton rouge parish.

This is one of the most dangerous storms ever and I can’t believe the regular networks aren’t covering it (ABC, CBS, NBC). They just showing their regular sitcoms etc.

This one looks like the real deal...it's just unfortunate the Weather Channel folks
always seem to give the same coverage to minor hurricanes and tropical storms.
