But was it? You guys blew the National Title game, so it didn't take you guys to the promise land. We go out there and blow goats against Oklahoma. So were we really deserving of a 3rd straight National Title? Nah.

You didn't mind it at all, did you? You were all smiles...laughing and giggling about it. Gotcha

That title game was our biggest heartbreaker...but after the year we had, it was hard to be upset about it after the fact.

Yeah. I just thought it was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Then watching the Auburn fans trying to inch past the security guards on the field was quite humorous. My mind immediately shifted to Las Vegas after the game.

I think that's where alot of Bama are/were at with it. After all the success of the Saban Era, it's hard to get really upset or mad about a loss. I mean get a grip, ya know, who's got it better than us?

Give you an example. When we lost to Ole Miss, I didn't even give a shite. I was more worried about Drake's broken leg, which looked pulverized, than I was about the loss.

If you must talk about heartbreaking Iron Bowl losses, the Cam Back was way worse than the kick six for me, and it isn't even close.

Since we aren't sticking with the topic I would say that 2010 IB was more of a heartbreaker. And, since heartbreak is being measured by the heartbreaker and not the heartbreakee - I'll go with the "we survived the shitstorm" game as yours. Julio is still open, let's go to Church now.

ESPN needs to do a "Top 5 reasons you can't blame Clint Stoerner".

For me personally...

2010 Auburn game
2010 Alabama game
1998 Tennessee game

IMO those two years Arkansas was national title good.

Arkansas led Auburn and Alabama into the fourth quarter in 2010. A total collapse cost Arkansas against Alabama and questionable calls flipped the Auburn game. Tyler Wilson gave the entire nation a "holy shite batman" moment in the Auburn game when he came in and lit up the AU defense.

Questionable calls or not, both the AU and Bama games were great games with tons of momentum swings.

For older fans I don't think anything will top the '69 loss to Texas for Arkansas.

Hell, I didn't even feel bad after the kick 6 game.

This. I was laughing out loud before he even crossed the goal line.

The plays that caused me to melt were the Cyrus Jones broken coverage that gave up the tying TD and the turnover on downs in the AU red zone.

By the time the kick-6 happened, the game was over. I was actually glad to see it end in regulation rather than having to suffer through losing in overtime (and there was no doubt that Bama was going to lose).

My dad is a Hog fan and I know from watching him it is only heartbreak. I really think Arkansas football is cursed. Every year they have a legit contender some kind of crazy shite happens.

Question comparing the heartbreak between two tight SEC Championship games.

auburn fans flood the thread talking about the kick 6.

auburn fans argue with Bama fans about how upset we really are.

No, you're not li'l bros.

The Stumble Fumble was the greatest play in modern Mississippi State football history.

The Kick Six wasn't that heartbreaking.

Not for all, but for some it was. To me, it was frustrating. Bama had a chance - and they would have handled Mizzou, so they only had to beat FSU - to win 3 titles in a row. Kick Six prevented that, but really, the game should have been decided much earlier. Bama had a 14 point lead in that game and just didn't put AU away.

The loss is cushioned somewhat by the rare nature of it. Only 4 times in the past 50 years has a missed FG been returned for a TD in college and only ONCE in CFB history (kick six) has it happened on the final play of a game to win the game.

Definitely. The realization of witnessing a spectacle such as that just kind left me laughing and shaking my head.

Craziest in-game, sports-related thing that we will probably ever see, and it just so happened to take place in perhaps the biggest Iron Bowl in history. I just kind of had to think that it was meant to be.

Honestly you didn't deserve the first two. You didn't deserve a rematch against LSU and y'all manipulated the schedule in 2012 so A&M had to get upset by Florida in the first game... If that wouldn't have happened y'all wouldn't have played Notre Dame at all.
