When was the last time a team won 3 in a row? I remember Nebraska stringing a couple of back to back championships together, but I can't remember one team winning 3 in a row.

Wasn't as heartbreaking as losing the 5 OT game to UT.

That game literally had me pissed off. I don't think I had ever been so pissed off after a game (at least until 2006 Arkansas). That 4th & 18 pass for a first down was inexcusable.

Craziest in-game, sports-related thing that we will probably ever see, and it just so happened to take place in perhaps the biggest Iron Bowl in history

Not only that but , no offense to Missouri, that game was basically a 'de facto' playoff game. Unbelievable play in a game with such magnitude.

This. I was laughing out loud before he even crossed the goal line.

The plays that caused me to melt were the Cyrus Jones broken coverage that gave up the tying TD and the turnover on downs in the AU red zone.

By the time the kick-6 happened, the game was over. I was actually glad to see it end in regulation rather than having to suffer through losing in overtime (and there was no doubt that Bama was going to lose).

That was EXACTLY the way I felt. In my mind, we lost that game when we gave up the long touchdown, and the way we were kicking field goals, making a 50-whatever yard bomb was about as likely as winning OT. Once it fell short, the spectacle was making me laugh.

I admit, I probably would have felt differently if we weren't coming off several recent national titles. If this had happened in the 2009 SEC Championship, it would have been CRUSHING. As it is, the "Camback" hurt me worse because I already felt so much disappointment in that team, and we looked just beautiful in the first half - the team I had expected to see all season - and then we STILL shite the bed and gave it up. That was painful.

And in the same game, we couldn't make a first down when we had it 1st and 3 or something like that after a penalty. We crapped ourselves in every phase of that game.

It hasn't happened in the Poll Era. 1934-1936 Minnesota was the closest. They won the AP in 1934, some random poll in 1935, and the AP again in 1936. Had the AP done a national championship poll in '35 they would be the only team to have ever threepeated.

Which was the bigger heartbreaker?
Question comparing the heartbreak between two tight SEC Championship games.
auburn fans flood the thread talking about the kick 6.
auburn fans argue with Bama fans about how upset we really are.
No, you're not li'l bros

I don't see the flood of AU fans you see, it's just me and yesterday were my very first posts. I'm not even accepted on the AU board yet. I was simply harmlessly poking fun with you guys and making conversation. It was hardly an argument dude. It's just funny that some of you guys would never admit defeat or heartbreak by AU or give us any credit at all. Probably the same fans who say UT is the bigger rival and call AU lil bro. The same fans who probably drive really big trucks but have small packages.

To all the ladies on the board who read this: I don't own a truck.
