I'm sure he'll put up some yards because you or I could run behind Bama's line, but he can't stay healthy. So why is he considered great.
This debate isn't fair. LSU returns all rb rushing yards and Tds.
Bama can have all the talent in the world but without proving it, it means nothing. Many a 5* rb have been busts.

Seems like I remember this topic as it relates to QBs quite well from the summer of '09. Specifically, LSU's experienced QB vs. Bama's never-started-a-game QB. I'm sure the correlation can be drawn to your RB argument and is thus proven to be potentially incorrect.

Again, to correlate further, why should LSU folks think that Mett this year is a sure thing? Simply being better than JJ is not necessarily all that great. Hell, JJ was barely better than I am.
Just interesting to note the inconsistencies of the average Rantard. Must be a requirement in the job description.

i don't even know what yall are arguing, i just wanted to say your NCAA thread was stupid again

My unbiased answer: LSU simply because we rotate RBs seemingly every few plays/series which keeps them fresher as opposed to Bama's scheme of pounding it with one guy for the majority of the game and then bringing in another guy for 5-6 plays (ie Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson) and I'm guessing Eddie Lacy will be the workhorse and Yeldon will come in for scraps.

Are you mentally challenged or something?
Yes, because experience proving your talent (our RBs) equates to experience sucking donkey arse (JJ).
Totally unrelated arguments.
Because Mett has been proven (albeit at a lower level) and has shown so far to be vastly superior to JJ. Honestly even a slight improvement to JJ is great because we can run the table with that alone.
Also, no one is running around saying Mett will definitely be the best QB in the country no doubt. You know like the way you ignorant gumps are touting your inexperienced RBs.

Actually, keeping one person in has helped 'Bama. Ingram and Richardson were better as the game progressed. Part of that has to do with the OL grinding people down too, though.
That's why I'm not sure if I'll like the platoon system. 2 is good. 3-4 RBs that get carries .. .I'm not sure. But, we you have the talent. I understand.
I think 'Bama will have more yards total, BUT I think LSU's numbers will be more spread out.

Actually we split the carries more evenly among the top two, with the third guy getting 50-60 carries in a season.

I could be mistaken, but I believe we had more total rushing yards than bama last season.
Yep, but VERY VERY close

LSU = 2,836
Alabama = 2,788

We played one less SEC game.

I was just answering his question.

We ran the option on you all night in NOLA for like a total of 30 yards. We're even.

Answering either kinda conflicts with the hyping of both team's QBs.
I'll take lesser stats from the Rbs if that means great QB play...

Did we set a statistical parameter ? Or will this be decided at the end of next season by flaming ?
Posted on 4/16/12 at 7:47 pm to KillianRussell
of course it will be answered by homer flaming

Thank God we have a QB now that can actually perform a read option (or so I hope)
Posted on 4/16/12 at 7:52 pm to AUtigR24
I maintain that Dee Hart had just as good, if not better, of a day as Yeldon at A-Day.
