based on this board, most everyone will say state. kinda surprised how many of you LSU baws graduated from state...yet you still support LSU. honestly, its not a bad strategy.

I have family in Shreveport and BR, but still, no.
I've had great times in and around Charleston, and USC fans are generally nice folks. Also enjoyed drinking and talking with Auburn fans.

After State it is Alabama simply because I have a lot of family living there and State is their second favorite team. Our family roots are originally in Mississippi. We pull each other and even when we play against each other it is very friendly. In fact we will have family gatherings around State-Bama games and have a lot of fun together.

I’ll be honest. I am not a fan of any other SEC team. Not even a little bit. I probably hate Kentucky the least, but I still hate them.

It depends on who is playing who. There are not really any other SEC teams I like but there are definitely some that I dislike more than others.

University of South Carolina. Forever will remember them “returning the favor” sending tons of emergency relief to the Baton Rouge area after the Great Flood of 2016; were reciprocating 10x from LSU doing the same for them the year before.

Yep. I've always liked Mississippi State and their fan base. No reason why. Just seem like good people.

Arkansas, despite some of their posters. And starting next year, Oklahoma. Lots of family ties to those schools.

You could make this argument for literally any SEC school. They are all objectively good places to spend four years (or perhaps more).

My kid will be enrolled at Arky in August so that will be the default.

My kid will likely join yours next June…we thought the same thing. Went to 5 SEC schools last summer, and really all were nice. Arkansas just checks all of the boxes. We’ll see if the coaching staff can turn it around.
