CITATION BITCHES

Per gallon / per year:

Alabama -- 2.01
Arkansas -- 1.8
Florida -- 2.65
Georgia -- 1.94
Kentucky -- 1.98
Louisiana -- 2.59
Mississippi -- 2.23
Missouri -- 2.49
South Carolina -- 2.22
Tennessee -- 2.14
Texas -- 2.34

Highlights: Apparently they are a bunch of teetotalers in Arkansas. They don't even sell booze on Sunday?

Florida, way to represent ... though I feel your number is possibly skewed due to the fact you're a high destination location for vacations and everyone wants to get drunk while on vacation.

Kentucky?!?!?! Do better. You're the bourbon capital of the world. WTF.

Texas, for a state and population of your size. You really let us down on this one.

Louisiana, is NOLA propping you up? Well done either way.

If you can’t buy liquor at the grocery store, your state is disqualified. Also, any school that voted against beer sales in SEC stadiums

Louisiana would win easily, only other state in the conversation would be Florida.

These are both very valid points. I will allow them.

From the link:

The legal drinking age is 21 years old in the United States and is strictly enforced.

Where do the only fans that routinely drink stadiums dry come from?

That’s your answer.

I made a huge mistake in moving here. That being said they do have Yuengling and I can easily plan around their dry Sunday law. Regardless, it's 2021. WTF Arkansas?

I am going to go with, doubt it.

I imagine numbers are quantified via state alcohol control divisions and I imagine they are not dialed into the local 'shine' market.

all of the numbers seem low to me. I am pretty sure I was drinking 2 gallons a week at times in college.

We have a lot of dry counties that consistently vote against going wet. Whole lot of "first stop/last chance" liquor stores on the county lines here.

I don't know if it's still true, but at one time Bourbon County was dry and Christian County was wet. I shite you not.
