I saw this post a while back. It’s from the WSJ so take it with a grain of salt.

I can't decide what's funnier. That so many people in different states go to Pornhub and then type "porn" in the searchbar.

or that so many of those same people are obviously screwing up trying to type "porn" with their off hand and end up typing "porm".

Also, "Mifl".

Big improvement for the state of Louisiana, moved to a 10 letter word, from a six letter word (Burrow) in 2019

Really surprised Alabama’s most searched word isn’t, “incest.”

We should do a vocabulary quiz for Rant members. There is a quick one on Merriam Webster. It may be interesting.

Oh I doubt they even know what that means.

They probably just refer to it as "tUsual"

I think this tells you more about the average age of people googling how to spell something than it does any state's collective intelligence. The ones with the super easy words are probably 5 year olds just asking google to tell them, so maybe those states have a younger average age being online or having one of them fancy google home minis. Rich kids in CT wanting to spell grandma, for instance. I could be way off, but I do think that the graphic isn't a great conclusion on its own but more a supporting correlation for something else.
