SC has better beaches than Alabama.

The Redneck Riviera.
But the beach itself is nice.
I’d have to go with Florida overall.
Kansas has sons of beaches.

Florida and the Bama beaches are the best IMO from your list. Atlantic coast beaches not so much...
We retired 6yrs ago, lived west of ATL. Moved to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Ft Morgan area about 7miles from beaches.
Best decision ever, very happy down here...

The beaches in SC and GA are basically the same, the main difference being most of GA's barrier islands are completely undeveloped wild natural places, while many more of SC's are developed with bridges and hotels and restaurants and all those sorts of things you'd want as a tourist. The inshore fishing in GA and SC coasts are much better than the FL panhandle. Offshore too, but you gotta go much further out to get to the deep water from GA/SC beaches, that's the main drawback.
Also, the sand is only brown in comparison to the panhandle where it's like sugar and will sunburn you in the shade. The Carolina and GA sand is still white, just not full-retard white.
I like the huge tides on the SC/GA beaches. Low tide, the waterline is 300 yards from the dunes. High tide can come all the way up to the dunes. So you'll find much cooler stuff on the beaches in the way of shells and driftwood.
I say this as someone that alternates between Destin and SC/GA every year for vacation, so I have plenty of experience in comparing the two areas.

Move Louisiana to the bottom and Texas and Mississippi up one and that would be pretty spot on IMO.

Florida has a lot of beaches. Two favorite beach towns are Hilton Head and Charleston so South Carolina gets my vote.

I have lived on Galveston Island for years. The majority of the folks who head to the beaches here are of course tourists. Galveston does not spend as much money on the beaches as they do on the cruise industry here. Plus with other venues like the Strand etc., there are just so many dollars to go around.
I have visited Florida many times in many locations. The beaches there are amazing deserve my vote for first place. Alabama Beaches are also nice but just not enough of them. Happy sunburns folks.

S Padre in TX is pretty good. Substantially better than the other beaches here. Galveston is subpar.

You obviously have never visited the beautiful beaches of the Cumberland River in Nashville. Lol

Have been to Texas (Padre, Galveston area, Corpus) Florida (Jax, Destin, Miami), and South Carolina (Charleston). I’d rate: FL tops, then SC, then TX.
One thing that can’t be understated though: Atlantic beaches have the PERFECT water temp.

Florida then
Alabama
Mississippi could be next if you count barrier islands

Ehhh, I was pleasantly shocked when I drove the beach from Bay St Louis to Ocean Springs last summer. It was the best I have seen Mississippi beaches look in my lifetime. The construction since Katrina, especially in the last 5 years, has been remarkable. Still miss the oaks in Biloxi.

would take Orange Beach over an Atlantic coast beach
I would also take the Florida panhandle beaches over anything on the Atlantic north of Miami as well.
