Baylor...absolutly abysmal

The only thing worse than the game atmosphere is the "tailgating"

Mizzou needs to try to treat people like shite next time an SEC team comes to town. That will make Mizzou a better college gameday experience.

You're all more than welcome, and you'll have a great time.

The way most SEC stadiums and stadium areas are set up, there are large swaths of land to tailgate on and it’s not hard to jump from one group to another, or have tailgating groups of over 100 people

quote:

Mizzou’s tailgate arena is more of an archipelago of small parking lots with little to no centralization at all and almost no major tailgating center to speak of

quote:

Then there’s the tailgating atmosphere itself. Most groups tend to be smaller and either localized Columbians, students and faculty, or people driving in for the game from St. Louis or Kansas City. They tend to keep more to smaller groups

While the fans are nice and passionate, they seem much less approachable.

While the Missouri fan knows their team and in my experience knew the Big 12 fairly well, the actual logistics of the game are not imbued the way they are in the rest of the South

Sure the average conversations I’ve had range from “We’re in the SEC now, all our players just got faster” to “I think they had to make classes easier now,” but the down the line football talk is not there yet.

I was shocked when I realized the small building next to the practice field is the coaches offices. UA's lawn equipment shed is nicer.

Thanks for rehashing the article from almost a year ago. I'm sure the AD is working on it.

If you'd like I'd be happy to email you progress reports on how that's developing. Go ahead and include your email in the next post and I'll get right on it.

Also, I didn't read, but I'm pretty sure the same article put the Mizzou women pretty high up on the SEC ladder even without the sundresses, but I may be thinking of one of the thirty other articles about Mizzou's positive gameday experience last year.

I'm not doubting that there isn't much of a game day atmosphere, but have you really been to a UAB game?

Actually yes

I went to the UAB Memphis game once. It was pretty awful. There's like 10,000 (being generous) there, all silent except for that one guy in the section that gets unnecessarily emotional over everything. It's quite an experience

Tulane.

I'm honestly not even sure why they still pretend to have a football program.

vanderbuilt is terrible. NO tailgaiting, "fans" arrive in time to be seated right after kickoff and basically clap when their team makes a good play. ok, i haven't been to one of their games in about 10 years, but i went to several when i lived in nashville and it was really, really boring. plus their stadium looks like a juco or div 11 stadium.

Probably the most interesting games that I have been to are at Rice. They don't really take themselves very seriously, so it makes up for the lack of a large crowd. Plus the band is hysterical. (Not many marching bands have cellos.)

The last time I went, they allowed anyone to run on the field and line up with the band on either side of where the team ran in. After the game they allowed everyone to bring their footballs and play on the field.

I've waited the required 30 minutes for my Porker response so I'm going to leave now and assume porker appropriately feels like a douche he is for his Mizzou interjection in this thread.

I'll be back later with more liquor in me.

If it makes you feel better, I've also been to an Arkansas game at Little Rock. Pretty dinky place to play. I'm not sure why they ever play there.

Also some classic gold from yet another cocky missouri fan:

That "gold" was from a Georgia fan. No quotes in that article from mizzou fans. I know buddy, reading are hard for you. You'll figure it out big guy
