There are more LSU fans on this site by many factors, so the rant meltdown will always be greater. IRL, though, the Bama fans I know would take a loss harder than the LSU fans. I doubt my in-laws talk to me the rest of the month if LSU wins. If Bama wins, they will immediately call me to see how I "enjoyed the game", and try to get me to say how amazing Alabama's football team is. SOP for bammers.

LSU has already had a historic season & the returning team is a sure 2012 BCSNC contender if not preseason #1. It will be a missed opportunity but the next one starts as soon as this one ends.
The Gumps however would have lost to LSU twice in the same year and proven to be poseurs.
I say Gumps have the biggest meltdown and tigers are realistic about next year to relax and discuss split title etc.

LSU will melt down harder. Bama is playing with house money. they have nothing to lose since they did not win their way into this game.

Either meltdown will be bad. And the losing coach WILL be an idiot who should have done the opposite of what he actually did

LsU. Their fans can not imagine a loss at this point whereas most of our fans on this board realize just how equal these teams are. And the only posters still concerned with the miles/Saban stuff are pulling for LSU.

You really haven't read many Bama fans' posts on here, have you?

LSU fanbase has the biggest meltdown here 's why the game is tied late in the 4th and TM7 on the brink of runnig back a kick off return and Updyke comes from the stands and tackles TM7 at the 30 yard line Cuz he's got too much Bama in him and Foster kicks a 56 yarder to win in OT.....

LSU fans are off the reservation. They'll fall off a cliff if they lose.

LSU. This is the "best team in LSUs history". So if Bama wins, LSU fans have to deal with the following:
(1) LSUs best team ever could not beat Bama when it truly counted most;
(2) LSU fans feel that Bama should not be in the game in the first place;
(3) Saban just took the best recruit in Louisiana from LSU;
(4) It will ruin what has been the most amazing season potentially in LSU sports history, in any sport.
I hate to admit it, but it is what it is. More to the point, Bama is playing with house money. I have talked to a few that feel as though they don't belong, but will obviously rejoice like any other title if they win. Probably similar to LSUs feelings in 2007.

LSU no question.
The greatest LSU team in history was one game short from claiming the perfect season........and lost.

Bama. They would have lost 3 in a row to LSU. Miles would be instantly known as a better coach than Saban. Bama has their best team since 1992 and nothing to show for it. Bama loses most of their D and will be looking at a 4th straight loss to us next year.
Pretty good argument but I think you are in the minority....

Players are melting down too
quote:
Offensive lineman Will Blackwell appeared to express frustration with the LSU coaching staff when he tweeted "Alabama is a great team. My hats off to them. Sometimes you get out coached. Wish the fans were as classy as the team #Tigerforlife".
