as noted, it's a very limited look of 5 years, there is no corroborating sources, and then there is this..

"Conference championship games and bowl games are not included in these numbers. Games that do not have available data were counted as zero."

None of those pay ad dollars. TV ratings do.

Networks aren't considering Alumni when negotiating contracts. How attractive of a TV product are you.

TV ratings >>> everything else

assuming this guy's stats are even close to the facts, it's from 2015-2019. USC hasn't been competitive in a good while, but if they do start winning, their numbers will change quickly and very significantly

Because Auburn plays an average of 5 or 6 Top 10 opponents on a yearly basis. Not as many casual viewers want to tune-in to Georgia beating UK, Vandy, or SC by 55 points despite them having a larger fanbase. Auburn games always involve some form of juju and tomfoolery.

Tennessee fans acting like they bring sooooo many more viewers than Ole Miss is hilarious

I won't argue against the fact that UT has more sidewalk fans than Ole Miss but the Ole Miss brand has been on the rise nationally since Hugh Freeze made it an entertaining product which was showcased and marketed well on national TV. We eclipsed the VOLs a long time ago. Hell, even our turmoil was a bit entertaining and of national interest. Now, that being said, success from the Vols can turn that around but they are essentially nothing more than a has-been program for decades at this point and irrelevant on the national stage.

Hah! You’re still the shithole school whose national claim to fame is getting the delivery of a telescope rescinded after throwing a hissy fit when told you couldn’t exclude black students from campus.

Notably, that was the last time you had a relevant football program!

Ole Miss had 10 wins and played in a NY6 Bowl this year.

When was the last time that the voLs did either of those?

A lot of this also has to do with which teams the networks pick up on a weekly basis and at what time. There's a big difference in viewership between the SEC-N @ Noon EST vs ESPN @ 7 EST....

Also, this really shouldn't be a 1 year sort of metric. It should be a 5 or 10 year average....

The difference child is that Alabama will be back in the CFP this year and win it, UGA will have to wait another 40 years....

Laughing at you and Georgia

How in the world is Auburn pulling more viewers when it has to share a state with UA, while UGA has less and they're basically unopposed in their state?

Auburn games are more entertaining. God only knows what is going to happen in Jordan-Hare stadium regardless of ranking and talent. Plus, UGA is in the East and that automatically loses you viewers.

6. Oklahoma — 3.46M
7. Auburn — 3.22M
8. Michigan State — 2.89M
9. Notre Dame — 2.84M
10. Oregon — 2.57M

Shows you how strong the states of Michigan and Alabama are for college sports. Auburn being at 7 in a very bad year is impressive. Michigan State is always solid also. Both have big loyal fanbases and usually play well.

edit: and your signature line is still a lie.

according to ncaa.com UGA has won 2 national titles

Of all the teams to complain about claiming National titles, you assholes at Abalama should just keep your dicksucker shut. You inbred sister kissing mother frickers claim 1941 and you got beat by Vanderb.ilt and Miss St. that year. You have to be the stupidest frickers on this planet to claim a National title in a year you lost to Vandy. Lofrickingl
