Arkansas: Their AD came out and said that Pittman wasn't given the support needed to succeed at Arkansas. He's also been outspoken about how far behind they are in NIL.

Because of Sam Pittman. No one wanted to burn up their money on him.

Not because we don’t have money.

Auburn is in the UF/PSU tier. It sounds like they have meddlesome boosters though

Move Oregon state below Va Tech and Stanford.

Both are P4 and just committed a ton to football. Stanford got a massive donation and has luck running things

Yeah good points. I forgot about Luck being there again. California is still a hot bed for football

3rd at worst but honestly Auburn, Florida, and PSU are all pretty even. Florida has better recruiting opportunities thought much of that is negated with NIL but they seem less committed. PSU might have a little more money but SEC > Big 16 or however many they have now.

Auburn has shown it can spend and recruit in the NIL era just have to find a guy that can put it together on the field.

Why do you think Auburn is so attractive to coaches?

Probably because they have the resources to compete at the highest level. From 1951-2020 we had 7 football coaches. 5 of of them won national titles and 1 was :13 away. If you know how to coach you can win at Auburn.

Tell me why Auburn is more attractive than Arkansas, UCLA, and Virginia Tech.
This isn't even a good troll.

Virginia Tech hasn't won an ACC title in 15 years, and hasn't played in a major bowl in 14 years. No Heisman trophy winners ever.

Arkansas has never won an SEC title. The last time the played in a major bowl game was 15 years ago. No Heisman winners*.

UCLA hasn't won a conference title or played in a major bowl in 27 years. The only Heisman winner they have is from almost 60 years ago.

Auburn has a more recent Heisman winner, conference title, national championship, and national championship game appearance than every school you listed, minus Penn State. Auburn still has a more recent national title, Heisman winner, and national title game appearance than Penn State.

Also, Auburn didn't have an defensive coordinator arse raping kids in the locker room showers for over a decade, then students and fans defending their coach for doing frick all about it.

*DMac was robbed.

This would hit harder if Hugh Freeze wasn’t the face of Auburn University.

Auburn fans are really trying to make these imaginary national championships a thing.

No doubt Auburn is a lucrative job but they will need to overpay if they want a big name Coach this year. There are a lot of openings.

The Harsin episode and firing him after such a short time has hurt their prestige. Personally, I think they would be better off if they had given Gus another year.

I think they would be better off shoring up Hugh Freeze staff on offense and giving him another year. He isn't a bad Coach.

Penn State is a flagship in the Big 10. They are > than Auburn

UCLA could be more with Big 10 money

Auburn is jaw dropping, knockout haawt from across the room.

Then you get close enough to see the big, hairy mole that is their AD.
