Do we underperform against LSU in Atlanta?

2019: Possibly one of the greatest teams in CFB history going up against an abysmal UGA offense led by James Coley. That result was expected

2011: LSU coming off a 12-0 season with a W in the game of the century against Alabama, facing a UGA who started the year 0-2 against Boise and SCAR. No duh y'all won.

2005: We blew out an LSU team that was favored to beat a 2 loss UGA squad

2003: LSU stomped on a weaker version of '02 UGA on their march to a BCS title. And LSU had beat UGA in the regular season. So yet again, the better team won.

Looks to me like LSU comes into most SEC Title games as the favorite against UGA, considering every LSU team we've met (2005 as the exception) marches to the National Title game, if not outright winning it all.

Seems like UGA does not underperform in Atlanta against LSU considering LSU usually enters the game with National Title hopes and the better squad on paper.

Wonder what will happen now that the rabbit has the gun and LSU has nothing to play for except a consolation Sugar Bowl.

Well it’s not at home where you lost 40-13 to the Vols, so that’s clearly a plus

Interesting that you provide no context in this game like in the ones you lost. In 2005 you failed to mention LSU, because of the aftermath of Katrina lost its bye week and was horribly beat up and running on fumes by the SEC Championship game.

This is inaccurate. They had 6 against Tennessee alone.

I don’t see any advantage unless Stetson gets back to throw it alot and Perkins becomes a factor. Other than that I would say Coaching is close but much different talent and depth.

I could see LSU playing over their heads and keeping it close til the 3rd and then wearing out or I could see 21-0 at half.

We've been trying to tell people all year that LSU is still lacking in talent and depth. The fact that we are in the game is pretty amazing.

Hell, even Dandy Don picked UGA.

The context used for the games we lost was simply that LSU was the better team.

The context you've provided is media/hot take level narrative that cannot be quantified in a subjective manner, and is just an excuse.

But sure looks like I touched a sensitive nerve by bringing up that whooping DJ Shockley and Co. gave y'all.

10 weeks, no bye, some of the players were homeless.

More than an excuse.

What I will be most interested to see is how the LSU OL holds up against Georgia DL. Georgia, statistically, has not put a lot of pressure on QBs. They only have 7 sacks on the season.

Georgia has given up 7 sacks on the season. You are reading your source backwards.

Georgia has 23 sacks and 191 QB hurries.

Question about Daniels.
Will he throw the ball away (get rid of it quick)?
Or scramble/take the sack on saturday?

Not familiar with their roster, but I would think WR. I like our WRs (especially if Mitchell is back) but I would think they have better WRs. That said the OP said matchup, and I like our secondary against their WRs…..so it’s hard to say.

Mobile QB is definitely a plus.

That's when he's 100%. We're not guaranteed that the LSU QB is at full strength. If he's the least bit gimpy or comes up having aggravated the ankle, LSU is in for a long afternoon.

Not sure what you're talking about.

UGA has faced LSU 4 times in the SECCG prior to this upcoming game. They were underdogs in all 4. They won one of them.

That's not underperforming... it's overperforming. We should have been 0-4 and were 1-3.

This season UGA is favored for the first time in a SECCG over LSU. We'll see how it turns out.

So losing your bye week is not “quantifiable”? Sure about that.
