2008-2015. Although there was plenty of vitriol to go around during those years, even between LSU and Bama fans it never got too mean-spirited. Everyone (for the most part) was here to have a good time talking about college football. There was trolling, of course, but people at least tried to be clever about it. The "1. I say something annoyingly retarded. 2. You call me an annoying retard. 3. I win because you noticed me." formula had not become accepted yet.

This is my fourth or fifth handle. I was a highly successful troll at times and each one got banned. My trolls were always funny. Never mean. Always made me scratch my head how there is so much crass and ignorant stuff on this board that gets through, but then the mods start pearl clutching about harmless teasing.
Anyway, lost my appetite for it, so now I very rarely come by.

Most posts, even the trolling ones, had some intelligence to them. Posts that exist now would have been deleted or anchored.

I still maintain that WT21 pretty much singlehandedly ruined the board in 2019 by posting some version of "Clemson lol" in literally every single thread no matter the topic for months on end, and the mods let him get away with it. We certainly deserved to be trolled after that abortion of a game, but he went about it in a way that ruined the experience for everyone. The level of discourse on here plummeted as a result and has never really recovered.
