A&M wouldn't melt when it means we have a chance to play you again at home or on a neutral site.
We came out very flat in the second half in Austin but I, for one, would gladly take a rematch of ours vs yours again this season.

I guess getting the refs to hand you the home victory against Auburn isn't speaking loud either? Texas had the same SEC record as ou with the head to head....and that should count for something.

If we get in they likely leave Vandy out and the collective board will come together for the Vandy Pimp and hate Texas even more (if thats even possible)

I personally don't think there is a chance. I just like to engage those on here acting like they wouldn't be saying the same thing if their team was in the same position. Pointing out the Florida game is weak sauce when you take into account that TX ended higher in the SEC than Ou and Vandy. And ou will get in over TX.

Here's the big issue... The first loss to a very good Ohio State wasn't necessarily a problem. They're good. REAL good. The second loss (and first conference loss) is the start of a possible problem for Texas insofar as getting to the playoffs. It was only one conference loss, so it could have been overcome, but the fact that it was to FLORIDA of all teams made everyone sit up and side-eye each other with a look of bewilderment on their faces. You're deep into the season and it's already become apparent that Clemson sucks, LSU sucks, and Florida really sucks - and you just lost to Florida.
But the seasons progresses and you start looking good. The Ohio State loss is no big deal since they're rolling over everyone and the Florida loss is all but forgotten. Then comes the loss to UGA. It's the 3rd loss of the season and the second conference loss. Not necessarily the death knell to playoff ambitions since the SEC is a rather tough conference to navigate with a spotless record. BUT THEN everyone remembers that first conference loss was to FLORIDA, a team that is 4 and 8. A team that has only TWO conference wins. Those wins were against a Kentucky team that got slaughtered by Louisville to end the season, and Texas.
Now tell me, when you are one of only two conference teams that Florida defeated, and you find yourself joined in this category by Kentucky, do you really believe you belong in the playoffs, or might it be that you've been skipping your meds and those strange voices that cackle and whisper nonsense are starting to reappear?

Sounds like OP is just setting up his own melt when Texas doesn't get in.
Most Ags would just shrug if Texas got in. It would just once again display how ridiculous the Playoff Committee operates but nothing new.
We have already moved on and are thinking about our playoff seeding and who we will get in the first round. My hope is for the 6 Seed and Tech gets the 3 and we get Virginia in Round 1 and Tech in the Cotton in Round 2.
If Texas finds some way to squeeze in so be it. Maybe we get a rematch down the road but I doubt it, you guys have sucked on the road.

I would melt hard- not because texas u is in (i woukd love to rematch if possible) but because it would show the depths of sordid politics or outright graft that the Committee has sunk to.

No melt from this Mizzou fan. Don't care about the OT wins, a win is a win. I also don't think they should be penalized for showing some sack and playing on the road in a close loss to Ohio State...
