We play the real USC in '16 I think. The Cuse definitely power over them

Syracuse may not be a national power, but how many other SEC teams have traveled up there to play a regular season game ???
Why the hell would anybody want to? What is gained? Terrible team and upstate NY isn't exactly a recruiting hotbed.

Syracuse is laughable. You should be banned for even thinking that scheduling a home and home with Syracuse is noteworthy.
MSU scheduling USA is a more competitive game than Syracuse

Alabama had a home-and-home series with Penn State in 2010-2011.

Congrats on popping this offseason's LSU Fan Schedule Thread Cherry!
Would be funny to start an offseason long thread that adds up every new Bama schedule thread started by an LSU fan

I enjoyed going to the PSU game but in reality who cares. OOC has no real value over the past 6 or 7 years. The SEC is been considered a power conference that the winner and even 2nd best finisher gets a shot at the title. Now with the playoffs I am not sure OOC has anymore value.
People that worry about OOC schedules in the SEC are the ones trying to validate their teams accomplishments or I should say lack of within the conference.

Especially now that we will be traveling to National Semi's and Championship games just about every year. Can only travel so much.

With LSU and Aubie going south, we are actually more worried about our "in conference" schedule.

This. The in-conference schedule for SEC teams has been more than adequate since about 2006. It was a little down this past season but Alabama still played a quality OOC opponent to start the season.
In the 70s teams like Alabama had to routinely schedule tough OOC teams because the conference was so meh. That is no longer the case.
