I LOVE talking about how things suck now and everything used to be cooler. When it comes to nostalgia, bring that shite on!

2009. GOAT coach, but Saban’s run broke the sport

2007, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2023, and 2024

It’s called having elite depth. It’s beautifully ironic a clueless fan of Ohio State can’t grasp their 3rd string QB led them to a national title bc of that exact concept in 2014 lmao. Having elite depth is a part of the game dipshit
Elite depth is impossible when 6 of the top 7 skill position players are all out.
You named Bama losing one WR and one OL in 2020. Now combine that with losing Smith and Najee Harris and Brian Robinson and tell me how elite your depth is. You can't lose literally your top 2 WRs, top 2 RBs and top TE and not expect it to cause issues for any team.
Bama fans have complained about UGA in 2021 just because they were without their top 2 WRs. OSU was without 3X as many skill position players, and better ones.

I would gladly go back to the conference days when the 4 big bowls on New Year's Day was the goal. NO playoff.

That isn't even all the offensive skill positions guys who were out. UGA had a very good player at TE also go out in the game (Washington), but if you don't think Njigba destroys UGA's secondary with what Harrison did without him then I don't even know what to say.
These are not the same
Ironically, it was an old, wise Bama poster that used to be on this forum that said it best when it came to posters trying to use the injury thing as an excuse for your team getting beat by a better team. He said...
"Championship teams have championship depth. So, stop your whining and have the balls to admit they got beat by a better team and injuries are NO excuse."

So when will puppy fans stop complaining about losing to ND because you had injuries?
Never likely

You haven't heard THIS "puppy fan" complaining or whining about losing that game because our starting QB was injured. That's no excuse whatsoever and we should have stepped up and won it anyway. And I would scorn any other UGA fan for trying to use that excuse. You know why?...because I actually understand the game of football and I don't have chronic fagometric vaginosis like you and the other whiners and I can admit that we got beat by a better team.

Back when Bama was still using deer antler spray in the locker room.

Lots of talk over these last few years about the changing landscape and the sport becoming unrecognizable. What was the last year that you think college football was what you remember and wanted it to be?
1970's

I hate the ejection part of it and for the first part of the next game.

2019 is the last year of college football in the form I truly loved. Pre-COVID/Conference expansion/playoff expansion.
But when I think of the era that defines college football the way I really love to remember it, it would be the 2000s. Probably because that’s when I was a kid and when I really got into the sport. Before the spread offense takeover, 45 pass attempts a game per team, and every game being 45-38. Some teams had a lot of success controlling the clock, running the football, playing defense, field position, etc.
