Exactly...they haven't won a football NC since 1980...

...wait a minute. They won it in 1990. I must have been thinking about someone else.

I'm thinking he wants an easy win and shorter trip to go to the game!

UGA has been about to "drop the turd" for 40 years now.

Either "do your business", or get up and wipe.

The line in the Bathroom is getting too long.

There is only so much room in this National Championship bathroom, Baws...and UGA needs a "Big Dump" like they never had in recent history.

Either shite, or get off the Porcelain Throne.

No

Georgia Tech arrogantly left the SEC in the 1960’s because they were selfish and greedy.

No

its no secrets that FSU and Clemson wanted out of the acc but swofford pulled out all the string to keep them in and keep the ACC together

Maryland was "this close" to causing a mass exodus from the ACC when they joined the Big Ten

its also no secret that the SEC wanted Virginia Tech or FSU as #14 when it added A&M but it had to settle for Mizzou or West Virginia

if SEC expansion comes back look for the Hokies to be the main target only problem is having to take UVA as well as both are kind of a package deal because of legislature and from what ive heard UVA's stadium doesn't even rival Vandy

I think its also time to end the NC State/SEC talk most NC State fans feel it would be program suicide if they even considered joining the SEC

IMO if/when SEC expansion comes back around
Virginia Tech #15
Kansas #16

I really don't get

& adding 2 teams from states we're not in INCREASES on-demand/streaming/online options to more people towards the SEC.

Why Kansas (other than basketball); but is Kansas part of the South?

I've never heard this before so it must have been somewhat of a
"secret"

quote:

swofford pulled out all the string to keep them in and keep the ACC together

What "strings?" The only strings he could pull would involve a bigger cut of the revenue pie for each school and that didn't happen.

It is a fact that the SEC offered FSU in the early 90's but they wanted nothing to do with a SEC FB schedule.

Maryland was "this close" to causing a mass exodus from the ACC when they joined the Big Ten

Mass exodus? Which conference was gonna absorb all the schools? Plus, the ACC had already expanded with all those big East schools along with the ND deal.

The Maryland exit was a mess for the school.I believe they had to cough up close $40 million in exit fees along with multiple lawsuits and they still aren't a fully vested member of the BIG

None of this happens.

Out of all the schools mentioned NC State would be one of the better choices IMO.

I don’t think you’ll see current P5 teams shuffling..
more than likely you’ll see the P5 expand to 16 teams with G5 schools and independents.

And then see a divisional split with the G5.

SEC- ECU, Houston
ACC- ND(football), Cinn
B10- Temple, Navy
B12- UCF, USF, Memphis, SMU, Tulsa, Tulane
PAC12- BYU, CSU ( gives symmetry, 2 in each state and 4 in California)

I just don’t think the GOR deals will allow for current P5 teams to move.

It's about TV, and we have the state of Georgia locked up. Expansion will be in North Carolina and Virgina.

Georgia Tech is 25% international students. You have to think big picture.
Japan, S Korea, India.
They could be huge TV markets for regional college football. Amirite?

I don’t understand why fans mention footprints and tv markets like y’all are getting paid yourselves by the amount of viewers a game has.

Its' because that is what drives expansion, not the schools themselves. We added Missouri for St. Louis and KC tv markets, not because they are in the south.
