I doubt admission standards are a concern for UNC as they have a hard cap of only allowing 18% from out of state. So measuring them against other schools to me seems irrelevant so not sure what that other poster seems to think

UNC also takes a certain percentage (more than 40 percent of the instate) from rural counties so the school actually feels like North Carolina.

Look how UGA is ranked ahead of Purdue. Purdue also just strikes me as a school that has really ugly women.

lol thats another good one all the southerners on this board calling each other inbreds hillbillies rednecks white trash

you DO understand that the elites in this country thinks every last one of you is all of those things WITHOUT EXCEPTION right. and that they are all laughing at ALL of you, yea

All anyone in Connecticut or Los Angeles thinks uga and all the sec schools is abt is a bunch of sister fricking football fans. dont kid yourself abt how the schools in this conference are seen again excluding the two and maybe Florida.

You honestly think Indiana is an elite state?

Georgia is the home of 17 fortune 500 companies. How many does Indiana have?

Georgia is the home of the busiest airport in the world.

We hosted the Olympics in 1996. When was the last time a city from Indiana hosted the Olympics?

Indiana is a redneck state located in a dying region with no infrastructure. I would hate to live there.

and I didnt say anything abt Indiana being an elite state and I didnt even say I live there my son is going to there Purdue but I am all abt the Tide.

the fact is that the whole conference is seen as a bunch of dumb rubes and honestly this board pretty much would provide endless laughs over cocktails in Manhattan

that doesnt matter what counts is what the ppl who matter think and believe me that they are not thinking abt the academic prowess of any sec school they are thinking “oh right down south where this is a college attached to football teams”

the ppl who matter in places like Seattle and Silicon Valley and boston and brooklyn and DC and Manhattan and San Fran

notice none of those places are in the south and the ppl who are in those places are full of contempt for ppl like you no matter how much you wish to ape them

Who exactly determines who “matters?” I couldn’t care less about what a bunch of soy boys from Brooklyn think about the South.

well I have a strong impression that you do in fact care a good deal but thats irrelevant the fact is that they do care at least to the extent that those ppl who count DO have an opinion abt what the sec is all about and you can be sure its not one of awe for the intellectual accomplishment of the schools and again that they see this conference as a bunch of football clubs that also offer English classes if somebody around the campus cares for that sort of thing

They were when they were admitted. They got kicked out after they joined. So yes it is still a requirement
