Has Dan Le Batard weighed in yet? He's ESPN's resident Miami guy. If he's cool with it, it would just blow over.

So you are one of those people who believe that non-whites can never be criticized because it is always so called "racism". Are you one of those progressives who studies have shown consistently dumb down their language when interacting with any minority?

Taterville is a well know third world country .... your mother lives in the finest single wide around though, and she's earned it, I'll give you both that.

Have you yet discovered .... who's your daddy?

You know. Say it. Say it Danny. Let it out into the open.

Yeah, because he's the spokesperson of the Miami fanbase.

I feel you.

Given that the comment was made while discussing the shitastic behavior of certain Miami fans towards Florida's ban director, I think Finebaum meant to say:
"Miami is a shithole program that belongs in a shithole country. MAGA, bitches!"

I'm not saying Louisiana is that, but it's not specifically hinting at anything

"Toxic waste dump" is clearly a reference to all the petrochem crap in South Louisiana. My parents both worked at chemical plants so I love it for putting food on the table but there's no denying it makes for some nasty pollution. Incidentally, Baton Rouge has fantastic water because it's artesian water from the hills in southwest Mississippi.

Is someone forcing you to listen to that shite?

I've never understood people that voluntarily choose to tune in to PF and then come here to discuss his shite? I turned that crap off back in '10 and haven't missed a thing.

Last night while cleaning the remote, my dog came over and took it from me.
He swallowed it. While swallowing it the channel changed to the SECN and I cannot change the channel until we have the surgery to get it removed

So we are agreeing he was referring to non-whites?

As for the rest - I'm not sure what any of that meant. Nor do I really care about this (nor would if I was a Hispanic Miami fan). However, if we are discussing it here, he clearly was equating Miami and it's fans to third world poors.

Wut?

Where do you go to make this shite up ... seriously. You are a professional shite poster. I’m the most anti litigious person in the world. I fricking hate lawyers unless I need a lawyer.

Don’t misinterpret one thing I typed for another dumbass .... and suing someone was never an option for me in my life except for one time, in business, when I counter sued and won. Well, twice actually but I backed off of the one guy in Atlanta when we served papers on him and he was barefoot with kids living in a trailer with a rough looking wife.

The GBi cooled that idiot’s jets and it was justified after what he did.

Besides, I am Danny’s daddy. Why would I sue my boy? That’s not how you discipline your offspring.

Probably.
He gets his feelings hurt pretty easily. I believe he was going to have someone show up at my house the last time he got pouty.
I didn't know I was about to be sued. Thanks for the heads-up.

He loves it, though.

There is a pretty consistent reputation discussions of the Miami fanbase that they are very Hispanic and "city", if not more derogatory. Whether he meant to or not, you could see where calling them a "third world program", a phrase used almost exclusively to describe poor countries (many of them Hispanic in the Western Hemisphere), would be seen as drawing a pretty clear line between the two.

I'm not saying he meant it that way, but you'd have to be blind not to see why some folks might see it as much more than a football dig.

Huh?

1st world refers to the US and it's allies.

2nd world refers to the Soviet Union and it's allies.

3rd world refers to developing countries.

Not sure how race enters this discussion as you can find people of all races in each designation.

That's an absurd bullshite assumption.

If you think it was about race, then you're probably racist.

I don't care about this at all but if you can't draw a connection between the stereotype of Miami fans by most of the country and the normal connotations of 3rd world I don't know what to tell you.

It doesn't make it "racist" but come on.

He basically called them uncivilized.

Had nothing to do with race. You are the one who see's racism in it because you are the one who seems to associate minorities in that way.

I don't associate minorities as being undeveloped or uncivilized in general and I didn't even remotely see racism in the statement. I saw a reflection of how the Miami fan base is generally perceived because of their actions.

I guess I'm happy to live in a time when people no longer know what real racism looks like, but it sure is damn annoying to have to listen to people make false claims when you've seen the real shite in your life.
