We collectively lose our cool and go batshit crazy whenever someone mentions Jacksonville State having Gamecocks as their mascot. It's our kryptonite. Never walk up to a Gamecock fan and yell, "GO JSU!" to our faces unless you want a tussle.

Thankfully it was just a passing “rustle” fad ....
But for a brief period, a few of our craziest mccrazesters became bent over the fact that the Gatorade water coolers on our sideline were orange.
Our AD at the time even publicly addressed the [non]issue.

I’m not sure why this rustles you. To anyone in the country, maybe outside of South Carolina, USC means Southern Cal.

At least they don't have to battle another in state school for the top talent. It is hard for Bama and Auburn to sign their own in state players. LSU has it made when it comes to recruiting. We should go back to the old gold and Block M helmets. Mizzou is now in a tradition rich conference and that is our tradition, besides it looks so much better. May this bring some rustle to a few fans.

I have family in different parts of Arkansas - both uncles moved there with CSX. They both use Arky a lot in conversation. Maybe they do it to slight people since they’re transplants but I’ve never heard anybody try and correct them either. Ar(e)-Kansas seems to be the hot word folks don’t seem to like there.
