UCF claiming a national championship is the current one for Alabama fans. I don't know why so many of our fans care about this.

For some reason, we and So.Cal are the only two schools that like to fight over having the same acronym - which neither school has control over.

I'd say Joe "the search" Alleva is pretty stiff competition for dumbest person in LSU atheltics.

The Wikipedia page for Joe Alleva currently says

quote:

LSU took tremendous steps back in many of its athletics programs under her tenure. Highlighting it all, was making one of the worst hires in power 5 history in 2016, when he introduced Ed Orgeron as head coach of the LSU Football team.

Instate recruiting. Swear to God Tennessee fans flip the frick out if we don't take all the instate players. So stupid, get the best players possible and you'll win football games, doesn't matter where they're from.

That is easy. GSD. The Great Stadium Debate. I'd guess somewhere around 2/3rds of the fans would prefer to have all the home games be on campus in Fayetteville. The remaining 1/3rd, however, will fight to the death to keep at least one game in Little Rock.

Other things come and go, the GSD has rustled Arkansas fans for twenty plus years now.

I’d say they were the ones who were rustled, not y’all. Although that fake UCF championship trophy y’all put on diplay was kind of ridiculous.
The split championship with USC definitely rustled our fan base.

What you said for sure

Only other I can think of (and it’s not common but you’ll run into now and again) is people who get pissed when we get called Arky. I think Arky is cute and there are far worse nicknames out there but some grrrrwwwl about it.

The beveled T in our logo.

I didn't want to read that whole site, what is the fan issue with the newer logo? Do people jsut don't think it looks good or is more of a "it's not our traditional logo" kinda thing ?

I can't speak for the entire fanbase but anything that has to do with Clemson makes me sick to the stomach and any contact with them leaves me feeling soiled.

Three sides to this fight:
1. Its not our traditional logo(Older Generation)
2. Its not a symmetrical bevel, looks bad(Middle Generation)
3. Who gives a frick(New generation)

ETA: The guy that made that site made an account over here several years ago and posted that entire diatribe. Imagine how that went over.

Most of us aren't rustled. I don't have a problem with them claiming it. It has more credibility than one or two that we claim. The entire world of college football knows that Alabama beat Georgia for the national championship. They all know Alabama deserved to be in the playoffs too even if they don't admit it or say so in public. Even Danny Kanell knows who the champions of the 2017 season are.

What really rustles me is how everyone talks down to our sidewalk fans. I was fortunate enough to graduate from Alabama after two years of work at JSU but you can't tell a college football fan that they are less of a fan or that they are inferior to a graduate. My dad loved football and Bama football as much as any other Bama fan that has ever lived even though he came from a poor family and had to quit school to work and help his mother feed his brothers when his dad died. This goes for any team's fans. Lots of good less fortunate folks in Louisiana that love tiger football as much or more than those that graduated from there.
