I’m not sure but I believe the media would say Nebraska.

I think the media is going to start falling off the Scott Frost bandwagon.

Correct.

Any top level college game day coach would jump at a premier NFL job. Because the NFL is the highest level of achievement. Many coaches, including Spurrier and Saban, have done it (and proved they were not good enough to win).

Riley, like all of us - would love to prove he is the best of his craft by winning a Super Bowl. Not just being the best of the second tier of coaches.

If you’re Riley though, why? I get the Cowboys, because it’s the Cowboys, but other than that, I just can’t see it

I "threw that in there" because the ones that "weren't in good standing" were all fired. They don't get hired away into better jobs (Mike Stoops for example).

Out of my mind huh? You don't think the NFL has ever come after an Oklahoma coach? Why do you think they stay, exactly?

Doesn’t matter. Cowboys is a far superior job than OU

No it's not. Cowboys is where coaching careers go to die.

I'm bored...Guess I'll have some fun and rank in order of most to least likely to happen first:
1. Michigan wins the B1G
2. Saban chooses Pepsi over Coke
3. Texas wins the XII
4. Ashley Judd chooses a fan of an SEC team on here to give her a “one and done”
5. Georgia wins the CFP
6. Texas A&M wins the SEC
7. Tennessee wins the SEC
8. Finebaum grows hair on his dome
9. Nebraska wins the B1G
10. Ole Miss plays for an SEC title
11. Missouri wins the SEC

Number of coaches in good standing that have ever left OU for another job?

Wow.So are you saying 2 of your best coaches (Fairbanks/Switzer)
were serial cheaters? Oh and let's not forget that Wilkerson got busted as well.

What a proud legacy!

In all fairness, Switzer was fired for having his star QB trafficking cocaine, a DL shooting his fellow teammate after an argument & a gang rape... all in the athletic dorm.

But definitely not for cheating.

You left out Stoops. He retired for "health reasons". That lasted all of two years? He is now coaching a pro franchise.

ETA and there is no way in hell I would take the Cowboy job. However, there are other solidly run franchises that will be looking for a HC in the not so distant future.

Got to be Texas. Too much talent and money in a semi weak conference.

It’s actually a really good question!

I have a crazy affinity for Mizzou.
So I’m going to go with that option.
They’re so stinkin’ underrated.
And most of the SEC doesn’t realize the coup that was getting Missouri to join the conference.

Second ... Nebraska doing big things in the B10.
Scott Frost is underrated as heck.
So silly.
He’s going to be dope (that’s my nephew’s talk).

Good choices of long-shot options. I'm 50/50 with Georgia winning the CFP and Ole Miss PLAYING for an SEC championship (unlikely winning it). Tip of the hat to Ole Miss, but barely. However, I may be long dead before ANY of these longshots happen to be honest. Fun speculation though.
