What's everyone's opinion of Josh Pate?

He's the 247 Late Kick Podcast guy.
This week, he picks Bama to cover the 14.5 points, but wouldn't be surprised if Ole Miss won.
He also thinks the argument against Georgia "having not played anybody" is dumb. however, he does think Georgia is favored by too many points at 18.5.
Week 5 Predictions
i thought he was crazy, but he was actually right on the money about the Bama/Fla game.

He seems to love Bama and Saban.
I also think the points you mentioned are on the money and are in line even with what people here think. So it's not like this guy is spouting anything that is widely unknown by most semi-intelligent cfb fans.
He is head and shoulders above the Finebaums and Cowherds of the world.

It’s fashionable to criticize him but I think he is extremely well informed and does a really quality analytical job. I’m a fan.

Hes pretty good. Some people hear these analysts/pundits/etc. say one thing bad/wrong about their team and then think they are trash forever, but hes one of the better guys out there IMO.

I first watched him in 2019 and I thought for the longest he was an lsu podcast guy. So I’m sure it just seems like that because that’s who is good

I haven’t listened to him but I was planning on checking him out because they talk about him on College Football Nerds. I didn’t realize he works for 24/7.

I didn't listen to him any until after he got the 247 show and to be honest went into it wanting to not like it....but I liked him anyway. He doesn't seem to do much hot taking, but he also has opinions and tries to back them up with specific reasoning. I appreciate his approach.

He's one of my favorites. Seems to put a lot of thought into his predictions.

False. He does not fanboy. It’s acceptable to objectively state that saban is the goat and Bama is a machine. Nothing crazy about that. If anything he’s too nice on LSU. He did not rip O or LSU at all so far this season. He’s pushing the “wait and see” narrative. He really knows his shite too.

I watch a lot of his stuff on YouTube, he’s pretty spot on usually and is entertaining. Def prefer him over any ESPN hack.
