What will be the first SEC East team to win the SEC championship

since Urban Meyer won it in '08?
My brain says Georgia, and my heart says Tennessee. But in actuality, it will probably be a dark horse like South Carolina (though not with the OBC at the helm of course since he is senile).
Obviously won't happen any time in the near future, as the SEC West is still the East's father and no, nobody cares about the Pepto Bismol Mexican Heritage Bowl your East team won last year so don't bring it up.

Alabama is really good. The rest of the West is so overrated by association it's laughable.

LSU and Auburn both have SEC titles over the relevant time period. The East couldn't beat them either.

Georgia is the only East team that would concern me if Alabama was playing them in the SECCG. I would assume blowouts of any other East team.

Go with your brain. Georgia has the best shot. If the can get to the championship game, they can compete with any team in the West. The trick is not losing a gimme that knocks them out of the race and leaves the door open for Tenn or Mizz.

Nope...won't even make the SECCG. It has been nearly 20 years since an East team has been to the CG 3 straight years (when Florida was a perennial top 5 team). It ain't happening this year.
