Man, that recruiting situation sounds tough. It's gotta be frustrating for Pittboss. Keeping his job might depend on how the team performs next season. If they can turn things around on the field, that might help his case. Winning solves a lot of problems in college football!

Why are all of you posting about Arkansas? Stop trolling and posting shite on the internet!

If you move us out of the conference, I hope we sue or close down the SEC!

You show your idiocy with this post. If anything, most opposing fans would say we have inflated expectations.

Q: what saves Pittman in 2024
A: not being in the sec west.

I would agree.
There is a bit of an uncertain element going into a full conference format.
In addition, the chaos at aTm and Cowbell U. has lent a strange dynamic to coach flipping this year.
Arkansas needs to sit tight and see if he can get back to bowl eligibility. If not, then initiate a change.

No such thing starting next year.

Arkansas always finds a way to pull a big upset. They played Bama, Ole Miss, and LSU tough this year but are lacking that upset. Pulling for them this weekend.

Nothing should save him. The Arkansas boosters and BoT apparently don’t care to save the football program and are okay with mediocrity. The fans are pissed.

Maybe if the administration didn't have such a bad history of making stupid hires, the big money folks wouldn't hesitate to pay Sam's buyout.
But when you make bad hires and they get fired year after year, it gets expensive paying all these fired coaches. Maybe they are tired of throwing at a product that keeps failing.

Exactly, he'd be insavable if divisions weren't being scrapped

I actually think the scrapping of divisions is going to make it harder to make it to Atlanta, assuming the CG remains intact, for most teams outside of those that go on the regular already. No more 3 loss division winner playing against a undefeated team for the other division.

Bring in a new OC (I'm not sold on Briles) and find some offensive playmakers.
They have the chance to go 4-0 with the OOC they have and with MSU being a dumpster fire right now, Auburn being led by an unpredictable weirdo, and Tennessee, Mizzou, A&M, and Texas all being year-to-year getting to 8 or 9 wins IS possible. It just has to be done.

Arkansas has proven to me that they're done with GAF about football.
Basketball and baseball are the priorities on campus.
If that is an actual plan its genius.
Think about it: every SEC program gets the same TV money, but even in "Super Conference" format the SEC has only one really competitive basketball program. It is EASILY the worst major conference for basketball, by far the second most popular college sport.
And Arky has a history there, and has the facilities. Its not like say South Carolina saying they are going to pivot into being a basketball school. There is meat on the bones.
All the SEC TV money isn't enough to run a top tier SEC football program - hence the programs still dipping into booster pockets for big buyouts - but its enough to run a top tier basketball program (with some baseball on the side). Then your AD isn't beholden to the whims of boosters.
If Arky leaders decided after Chad "you know its too hard to be competitive in the modern SEC in football, but if we poured the TV money into basketball we might be a national contender in 10 years" then that might be the best decision a SEC AD ever made.
I doubt that happened though, I think Arky has tried in football and has failed and now they would love to try more but they lack the support needed to do it.

If we were just halfway decent next year, having Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, and Texas at home would be a good time.
That’d be a great group of games to attend.

Agree 100% but I also think sos will be more evenly distributed. Instead of having all hard years for arky it'll be a mix of harder and easier schedules allowing break through years here and there

The fact that Arkansas is a bottom dweller will save him
