I’m serious. What are the grounds to kick LSU out? This is insane. LSU complied with the league ruling even though the court and NCAA, which should govern on this issue, said they were eligible.

Alabama: Charles Bediako declared for the NBA Draft, didn't withdraw, spent years playing professional basketball in the G League, then returned to Alabama and actually played five games under a state-court TRO. The SEC knew exactly what was happening. Nobody convened the presidents to throw Alabama out of the conference.
Texas A&M: The SEC itself determined A&M violated the rules by staging an injury to manipulate a football game, fined the school $50,000 and reprimanded Mike Elko. Somehow A&M remained a member of the SEC.
Ole Miss: The NCAA found a mountain of serious violations: impermissible benefits, recruiting violations, academic misconduct, false information and failure of institutional control. The penalties included a postseason ban, scholarship reductions, probation and ultimately 33 vacated wins. Somehow the SEC didn't decide Ole Miss's membership was incompatible with the conference. Also right now Ole Miss is under an NCAA tampering investigation concerning Luke Ferrelli. That's an allegation/investigation rather than a proven violation at this point, so I won't pretend otherwise. But nobody is scheduling an expulsion vote for Ole Miss Thursday.
Also Alabama baseball is currently on NCAA probation stemming from wagering/ethical-conduct violations involving its former head coach. Still an SEC member.

So did a few other teams. They just suck so nobody cares. 1 has a chance to get below 30 games of losing to their in state rival who also sucks now. Bet they still dont gain any ground.

Pissing off and embarrassing Sankey.
The rule is common sense. You would have to be pretty stupid to not see how thin skinned Sankey is. He’s kind of like Lane except he has the power.

No, let's stay serious here. List out the infractions.
Because SMU wasn't expelled from the SWC after being the only program to get the death penalty.
Texas Tech remains in the Big 12 after attempting to keep Sorsby.
Many, many programs stayed in their conferences after getting major probations, including "lack of institutional control" hits.
We now see Sankey suing LSU in federal court, and posturing about expelling LSU from the SEC.
Apparently in response to ... LSU saying they would be open to signing and taking players who were granted a TRO or injunction ruling them eligible to play.
As many other schools have done. There are quite a few who have signed some of these "5 for 5" guys. Semantics about training camp, blah blah; the whole group was ineligible, the court made them eligible.
Furthermore, the SEC has allowed schools to play guys the NCAA ruled ineligible, the past couple seasons. Pavia last year, Chambliss this year. No threat of retribution towards either school, I think they even helped promote both players' Heisman campaigns.
Against that backdrop- what, exactly, has LSU done to merit being expelled from the SEC?

no one has ever been expelled from a conference before with the exception of the Big East expelling Temple's football program only for not being competitive back in 2004.
