You're measured by your titles & in the last 18 years Duke, UNC & UConn have more than UK & that's a fact.

18 is an awfully arbitrary number. Is it because you don't want to include '98 or '96 in that?

Well using that logic (odd time frame, BTW) then we've been a better program than Kentucky as well.

It’s easier to buy the best talent and win in football then basketball ball .

Some athletic departments give more money back to the school than what they receive in subsidies (Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and LSU in the SEC)

This. For example, UK recently opened a new $100 million science building. $65 million was provided by the athletic department.

That's probably the dumbest thing posted in this thread. Even more stupid than the guy trying to downplay UK's history.

Nothing arbitrary about making note of what century we are in. But if you wanna include the 90's then Kentucky still wouldn't be the most dominant hoops program.

And who has been dominant in CBB then?
No one really. Florida has the same amount in the same span. I'd actually argue UCONN before Calhoun retired and UNC have been more dominant. It is just actually more disappointing that Kentucky hasn't won more when they were dominating one and done well before Duke started doing it.

What's odd about talking about the current century we are in?

Gosh, I don’t know If this thread was started on Standard Time or Daylight Savings Time, but it doesn’t matter because whichever artificial time constraints are imposed on us by the powers that be, Bama FB pisses all of you off. Oh, it’s not the yearly excellence, nor the nearly yearly NCs...i’s just that you wish you were us.

I actually like Kentucky fans better than I did Kansas fans.

I know a few and see a bunch of UK fans here in Nashville, I don't find them annoying. They care, a lot, but more in a frantic oh crap we better do something meaningful way than a way that talks bad about other teams. Bama football fans, on the other hand. Most times you can't wait for them to stop talking, even if it has nothing to do with football.

Neither they both win which is good for the conference. It’s up to the rest of our teams two level the playing field. Man up and knock them off if you want to be the best.

I dont mind Kentucky being dominate in hoops, I just don't like the officials having blue tongues after every time they play us.

I don't get pissed off so much about Bama anymore, because when that dynasty falls, it's going to be fricking ugly over there.

Huh? I thought Auburn fans were following basketball this season. Literally the first articles out of the gate every single year right after the announcement of the brackets are hundreds of sportswriters analyzing why Teams A-J got in and Teams K-Z didn't. Then they start in on why Teams 1-26 got seeded where they did and in the region they did. It's hugely about the eye test.

Ok, this Alabama football/Kentucky basketball fan is bullshite. I have literally never seen one of those in my life. Ever. Most hardcore Alabama football fans don't give a shite about basketball.

Do you have a clue as to how many "at large" teams are in the tournament?...those are ALL "eye test" teams.
