At least I didn't put Samford.

Alabama's true hidden gem.

Georgia has won 808 football game. UCLA has 577.
Georgia has also won almost twice as many bowl games.
Bad comparison

While I don't think it's a great comparison, it might be the closest anyone can come to the Tide.

I would argue Oklahoma is a more apt comparison.

Georgia doesn't have a big brother.
Other than not winning a bunch of National Championships, they are an 800 lb gorilla. Recruiting, campus, fans, academics, football. They've got it all.

Nope.

Oklahoma was tooth and nail with Nebraska for a lot of their history. They compare to Ohio State/Michigan.

USC, when right, owns the Pac 8/10/12 regardless of competition. Alabama owns the SEC when right, in the same way.
When either is down, other teams can emerge, but it's always when they are in a down period.

LSU is a weird team to find a match for- you could say Michigan State or Wisconsin, but LSU is honestly a tier better overall than those guys. 3 national titles, another BCS appearance shot, and conference titles in every decade for about forever. LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Tennesee, Florida- historically not the elite conference team, but also historically better than other "good" conference teams.
Maybe Washington?

Michigan State?

I've heard Wisconsin more than Michigan State over the year.

Wisconsin's fan base compares favorably to ours on the fanatic scale.

Stadiums and schools are about the same size.

We really enjoyed tailgating with Wisconsin fans at the bowl ... they are similar peoples in a midwesterners' sort of way.

My former boss is a M. State grad. Good guy. There are lots of similarities between the programs.

We met a lot of Wisky fans last year on our annual cross country road trip. Great folks. Would hang out with them again.

What are we comparing here? The colors are the only things similar.

SMU is in a big city, with 3x the endowment of Ole Miss
