I can somewhat let it slide when it comes to the NFL. But no grown man should wear a jersey of a kid in college.

That's just weird. I stopped wearing jerseys when I was 15, and I probably should have stopped wearing them sooner.

why

It strikes me as odd that any grown man would idolize another man. That is for children or athlete groupies.

I have great respect and admiration for many athletes I can't conceive of any reason I would ever want to put on their jersey.

Nothing better than walking into a store and seeing a 5'10 285 lb man wearing a Cam jersey.

These are only a few reasons...

It's not like they are giving sacrifices to a statue or a shrine in their guest room.

I have a chipper jones jersey with the World Series patch and 25th anniversary patch. I wear it only to games and occasionally if i go out to the bar to watch a game. Zero fricks are given about "grown men shouldn't do this and that." Only beta males care what other guys wear.

Are you 5'10 285 lbs?

I believe this applies to more than just college football.

10 Commandments of College Football (Travis)
#4. Thou shall not wear a college kid's jersey to a game.
First, it's impossible for a grown man not to look like a tool wearing a jersey. It just is. The only possible exception to this rule is if it's your son playing and...nope, you still look like a tool. Second, lots of you are wearing a teenager's jersey. You were over 21 when this child was born. Isn't that a little bit humiliating? You could have fathered this child and now a generation later you're wearing his jersey?
There are two gameday outfits that no man can screw up:
a. coach's polo with either jeans or khakis.
b. school polo with either jeans or khakis.
(No, Florida fans, this does not include jean shorts. If you wear jeans, that means pants.)
Right now every single woman reading this piece -- there are at least two -- is nodding her head. Don't overcomplicate this, just wear a. or b. (Note: shorts are fine. It's really, really hot everywhere.)

This isn't about Beta Male. Notice the inference to what a women would think.

bashing people who wear jerseys is so stupid. it's just another way of supporting your team.

you pretentious fashionistas just have to have something to judge people about, don't you?

I honestly do not understand this perspective. I mean, obsessing over these players on a daily basis, getting into e-fights over them w/ opposing fans, hanging on their every tweet (especially those of potential recruits) is ok, but wearing a jersey w/ their name is silly?

Don't get it.

Nobody sees us on the Rant. Women and potential business associates see you in a jersey, of another man, in public.

Fine by me. You should quit caring so much about what others think.

In all honesty. To each his own. I do see it as odd, but really don't think to much of it when I see it.

I have a Willie McGee powder blue jersey. I wear to every Cardinals game I go to. It's been through a lot and it has stains all over it.

Side note to all the jersey haters. I got laid while wearing my Willie McGee jersey.

Side Note: Willie McGee was a "smooth" mother.

Link to the last statement.
