If he had put a deal in front of them and handed them a pen, sure.

But to say "there's a bunch of rich people up in those suites that like to give deals to our players"?

Nah. That's statement of fact, and common knowledge to every recruit on every recruiting visit they take.

No, that's literally using the NIL as a recruiting tool directly to recruits.

And since it's one of your coaches, it demonstrates an extreme lack of institutional control. Of which A&M was already on the verge of getting, with Jimbo already receiving a 6 month show cause.

What’s the difference in what he said and this?

Existing college players that secured NIL deals with third parties that are in the public domain

v.

offering inducements to HS athletes, "Y’all getting a lot of money" ...
as a condition for coming to play at A&M...[i]"If you decide to come play here.[i]

There is an image from a formal presentation out of Austin making the rounds at TexAgs right now. It has specific numbers, and is part of the NIL presentation given to all recruits that visit Austin. So yeah, not worried in the least.

I cannot post it because apparently this site doesn't like Amazon hosting services ...

The difference between stating "Player X got this" and "You (a recruit) will get a lot of money if you come to play here" is the second is an NCAA violation.

we will get a reward when we get to watch the rant continue to cry about something that is perfectly legal.

But inducement is not perfectly legal. It is in fact a Level 1 violation, NIL or not.

Is this what we sounded like defending Will Wade?

I'm sorry guys...

But that's not even close to what was said.

SECRant Rule #1: never let facts or reality get in the way a good Aggie bashing opportunity.

When the rant gets all frothed up at Aggie, there's no amount of truth or facts in the world that will change any minds here.

This place is what it is.

We're actually pretty happy watching A&M go down in flames, since you didn't notice.

Not a penalty, but probably a recruiting bump. Top 5 finish. Recruits love NIL.

According to Bylaw 12.1.2, an athlete is not eligible for participation in a sport if they have ever taken pay, or the promise of pay, for competing in that sport. This Bylaw is specifically referring to amateurism and goes in hand with the ethical conduct Bylaws 10.01.1 and 10.1-(a). NCAA Bylaw 10.01.1 states that an athlete must act with honesty and sportsmanship at all times so that they represent the honor and dignity of fair play and the generally recognized high standards

A member of your staff clearly stated that recruits would "get a lot of money" if they play at A&M.

He’s reaching like always. He doesn’t understand what a violation is or is acting ignorant to get a response.

Yet when t.u. offers lineman 50,000 to go play for them, he, like the rest don’t say a damn thing. Their bias is comical. When you ask them if offering lineman 50,000 is an inducement, they stay quiet.

You can’t respect or take seriously posters like that. They have an agenda and everyone sees right through them.
