But I thought LSU was king now so they should get that benefit. Some people’s kids.

Show of hands for everyone in the room who's missing your annual September, Children of the Poor beatdowns?

I like scheduling sisters of the poor like Notre Dame, Clemson, Arizona State, Colorado, UNC, etc..
Maybe Bama should get on the home and home action against sisters of the poor. Football might become enjoyable again.

Disappointed we can't make a 9-10 SEC schedule permanent.

That Saban quote is just playing the public opinion game.
Monday night or the ones he’s made at spring meetings for nearly a decade?

Until they stop catering to Bama every year.
Imagine being this uninformed about who is actually pushing for more games and has been for years

Alabama has home and home series with Texas, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Florida State, West Virginia, among others the next several years.

I'd like to play 10 every year. The playoff is rigged anyway so why not see the teams you wanna see play.

Im for it. Not a fan of the cupcakes.

Yes as they’ve advocated for it many times... you think they are playing mind games when they state multiple times they want 10 games?
No one wants to play those teams back to back to back but sometimes it happens. I respect the Aggies because they didn’t bitch at all about their hell of a schedule last year or the year before. Had to play at Georgia Clemson outside sec schedule.

What exactly does he gain from making multiple statements he doesn’t really mean?

No most of them just schedule prestigious out of conference games which are tougher since you have no experience against the team

Not really... you get weeks of rest before the playoffs. You’d be more battle tested and experienced. You don’t think it helped that LSU played so many top teams last year? No way was it a disadvantage to us

You didn't play 10 SEC games.

We played 9... who do you wanna throw in from the East that we didn’t play that’s going to make us so banged up??? Kentucky? Tennessee? Missouri? South Carolina?
I guess it’s a bigger deal for the East teams because the west is so strong. I’d gladly would have played any of the teams mentioned above over an OOC Texas.

Exactly. Now add up how many SEC games you would have played with a 10 game SEC regular season and then an SECCG.
The reason P5 schools play cupcakes is it gives a chance for the starters to play a half. They stay in game shape but also basically get a week off. You get to work on things that need improvement. You also get a chance to play guys who wouldn't ordinarily see the field. This helps develop next years team with meaningful game snaps for the younger players. None of this would happen if you are playing a 10 game SEC regular season.

I’ll say it again who would you want us to play. No one in the East is that good of an opponent that would have beat us up... take away the OOC and replace with the sec games. It would suck for a team in the East sure. we already play Florida, two more games from the East might even lower our SOS. It would have been a much easier route for LSU to win it all last year with a 10 game conference schedule in my opinion

The SEC teams we didn’t play last year were 26-24.. that doesn’t scare me like a neutral or away out of conference game against a top 10-20 team. I’d argue that by playing in the SEC players would develop faster. Iron sharpens iron

Guess he hadn’t looked at LSU’s adds to the schedule this year lol.

You really should google more. It makes you sound a lot smarter.
