LSU is one of only three FBS teams to use H style goalposts.

Capacity of 15k is not the point. The Frank Erwin center, also built in the 70s was larger than the Moody center. Torn down to make space for the Dell hospital and medical center.
The point is UTx Austin recieved a 375 million dollar state of the art performance facility at no cost or risk to the University. The university owns the land, the building, and not responsible for ongoing operations, all for free to the university. It's not just a basketball barn. Over 150 nights a year in addition to basketball it is generating additional revenue through outside entertainment entities. John Mayer, George Strait, and Willie Nelson were a few first to perform on opening week.

TAMU is quite proud of their 1950 style Soviet style architecture. At least you used to get free candy at the games and you could hang with Gumby. Utx had Rocket Man and the shame of money grubbing excess. Best thing to come out of austin is Berkley Breathed and the guy with MS paint skills and a fixation for drawing dudes dicks.
Rupp has concerts as well, including the record for tickets not redeemed for the gig Elvis was supposed to play, but died on the crapper. Clearly you have never been to Rupp if you think it just a basketball barn. FWIW, Utx won the Women's Natty in Rupp. Can the same be said for Utx Men or Women in Moody? Are you to drunk on the Burnt Orange Kool Aid not so see reality very well?

Yes, yes Texas is in the SEC, and the SEC now has Texas. What aggy has been warning you about ain't all bs.

#2 and #3, agree to disagree. Why overbuild when sized right and used creatively the AD and University can create much more revenue at low or no cost and risk? Kentucky can do their thing and Texas will do theirs. Guaran-damn-tee you Texas is going to have much more impact on SEC, than SEC will have on Texas.

And that was with a partial SEC payout. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Texas will receive an additional $75M at next full payout for a full and equal share.

I went through the park three summers ago, it's impressive. The University seemed pretty enough, quite cozy, and a pretty good place to send your child to college. Just need to keep a choke chain on some of the athletes and yank it when the gun fire exits the dorm rooms. It's a problemwe all have. 
BTW, when the ball and chain saw some of the football players jogging around the stadium, she was amazed at "the size of those monsters". We're old folks and she finally got close enough to get some perspective on size. There were about 6 guys jogging together and looked like DL and LBs.

Another poster mentioned the 5 yard markings also. I researched that some this morning as I was sure I'd see that in at least one other stadium. This board had a thread with that same topic back in 2022. It mentioned 3 stadiums at that time that claimed to have the 5 yard markings. They were FL. St., Washington St., and Fresno St. I looked up all three wrt today and none have the 5s markings anymore. All other search mentions had the 10 yard markings today. I'm certainty convinced LSU is the sole survivor!

The design to trap heat and push sound towards the field in the Football Stadium is smart. We have sucked lately, but that is not the reason at all.
