I used to hate that. But then I started posting on the old ESPN message board back when it was free. I found by using tOSU, I could easily distinguish them between Oregon State and Oklahoma State by using one letter.

When I was growing up the phrase would have been written “damnyankees are good for. Drunken...” I was nine years old before someone told me “Yankee” was a stand alone word... I didn’t believe him.

Why do people consider states like Wisconsin Ohio and Michigan “yankee”? They’re Midwestern. Not yankee. New York , Jersey and PA are yankee. We have more in common with Midwestern states than any other region in the country.
