This argument is stupid. We didn't ask Chad Morris to win the West this season. We wanted to see improvement from a 2-10, 0-8 season in which we got blown out at home by North Texas. Instead we got 2-10, 0-8 with a blowout loss at home by Western Kentucky. Chad's team was outscored 198-60 in his final 4 games.
Bert was moving in the right direction, but apparently his inability to keep quality assistants and his alleged alcohol problem sent him in a downward spiral.
We had enough talent this season that a competent staff should have gone 6-6.

Funny that Arky fans are on here looking down their nose at Ole Miss because a previous coach was caught cheating and had hookers. Petrino anyone? And BTW....Freeze is being mentioned by many fans as a coach they might want now that Kiffin, Leach, Norvell, etc. are turning them down.

Maybe 4. Arkansas’ roster, talent wise, is bad, really bad. It isn’t getting better with the 2020 class either. Arkansas is 4-5 years away from being a 3-5 to 4-4 SEC team.

I'd prefer Kiffin at Arkansas, personally. He wouldn't be much of a factor there.

Good question. We have to wait and see who the new coach is. If we hire a coach that wants to line up and power run then we'll be lucky to win 3 games. If we hire a coach like Kiffen then we could probably get 4-5 wins unless we have a lot of kids hop in the transfer portal.
Our schedule has 3 winnable nonconference games. We will get stomped at Notre Dame. We also host Ole Miss and we go to Mizzou. Two teams that will also be in their 1st year under a new coach. So we should get between 3-5 wins. One would hope.
If Morris would have gone 4-0 vs our weak nonconference schedule then he would have survived. Hog fans are patient as long as their is progress. To put it in perspective, other fans give us shite for not being satisfied with a coach for going 4-18, 0-14. Auburn fired Chizik two seasons after winning a natty for going 11-14 afterwards.
