What if Lane did finish the year at Ole Miss and won the whole thing?

Would that change the narrative of he’s going to a place he can win it all?

Should he then just stay?

What would be the talking points in such a wild scenario?

LOL I get the trolling, but this is sad. I have a good buddy who loves ole Miss with his whole heart and I genuinely feel bad for the guy. LSU fans are ruthless.

They would hang the OUR NEW COACH WON A NATTY AT HIS OLD SCHOOL - 2025 banner. Just to make him feel at home.

I don't think this is the narrative. I think the narrative is to go to a place that can compete for championships consistently where you don't have to kill yourself to hit in the transfer portal every single year.

It's like arguing TCU is a better job than Texas because of the random one off season where TCU got into the playoff and CFP final.

I’m thinking a 2025 Co National Championship Banner will do.

Ah it's ok. We're all pretty frustrated right now but after a while we'll go back to our normal lives. Someone reminded me about 95% of the people who go to lsu spend their entire lives in Lousiana where the sun rises and shines on lsu sports and the saints. Not sure that state could survive if lsu continues to be this bad at football with how bad the Saints are.

If OM does end up winning it, LSU is going to pay Lane the bonus for the win, which is an interesting detail of his contract.

He’ll be alright. It’s pretty fricked up, but it’s entertainment. All in good fun over here, we have all seen dark days.

Ole Miss takes a step back, but they won’t dissolve. Could light a fire under Oxford & they’ll also be the darlings of the CFP for however long they’re there.

Also this is true.

Most SEC schools have this contingent.

No comments from you regarding the smear campaign by OM fans against Kiffin and his family? Trying to run he and his son off the road? The crowd raging at the airport hurling obscenities at the coaches and Kiffin kids? OM putting Kiffin’s clothes out in a parking lot?

Yeah LSU fans are ruthless but OM fans aren’t angels either.

Ole Miss isn’t winning anything, even if Kiffin stayed . He knows that , otherwise he would have stayed if he thought they had a legitimate chance .
