Now you know as well as I South Alabama just moved up in 2013.
I don't pay any attention to south alabama, sorry.

It's not like it's that hard to do.
I'm not sure it's easy as you're pretending. Gotta have scholarship athletes in other sports, which means leaving their conference. They don't average enough patrons a game now to move up. Playing a brand new cast of unknowns might not be the best way to boost attendance figures either. Unless they plan on going independent, you kinda need a sponsor conference. It's a multi year venture to move up.

Harvard of the South doesnt apply for a college who's academics are in the others recievinf votes category.

When Georgia finally catches up with Ole Miss in Rhodes Scholars come talk to me about academics.

Come talk to me when Ole Miss is in the top 100 public schools.

Made up metric… how many of these lists have been plagued with scandals regarding schools reporting fake data?
Objective facts:
1. Ole Miss doesn’t have the highest endowment in the SEC.
2. Ole Miss has one of the lowest ACT acceptance thresholds in the SEC.
3. MIssissippi is one of the poorest states in the Union. No state resources to buy excellence.
4. Ole Miss consistently punches above its weight academically.

All that says, Not Harvard. My original point.

Only one ‘Harvard of the South’. We claimed that title a long time ago.

Now you're out of your mind. You can't "buy" college football success. Yes, it takes money. But double the money won't buy it or get you there twice as fast.
It takes culture. It takes being in the right geography, and willing to take advantage of your local resources - both players and boosters. It takes being able to harmonize those.
However, let me just say: Georgetown basketball in the 80's. Go research Georgetown (the university) a bit, and then tell me they are a likely candidate to field an elite athletic program.
Now, football is a whole other animal than basketball, but the principle is similar.

It's not remotely similar.
Hell, look at Gonzaga today.Middle of nowhere, average facilities at best and certainly isn't rolling in money.
Hell,Baylor won a NC in basketball recently.
CFB is a different animal all together
You better be prepared to spend hundreds of millions on facilities and coaching staffs if you wanna think about competing for a NC

They hate the south and everything we represent. They will die the slow death of not standing on any principles.

I lived in CT almost 8 years & temped at Yale. You'ld be surprised the # of students asking for $ just to eat.

Oh... I'm going to say you are very wrong. They can buy success.
If not, TAMU would not be doing it.
As for as I'm aware, A&M hasn't 'bought' anything yet. Still no division/conference/national title. Still no appearance in the CFP. Sure they've got some good recruiting, but that's not success... not yet.
